What is this?

Just bought this pig and I am getting a couple different answers for what the hell it is. Guy I bought it from said it was a trail boss Google lens says 400 L and Grok says it’s a sportsman. I have only been able to find a seven digit serial number.

First UTV! Kiddo approved

Finally picked up a UTV for the family. Hit some great trails in Northern Wisconsin and got the kids into some adventure seeking.

Big shout to to Englehart in Madison for being enthusiasts first abs salesmen second.

2025 Sportsman

I bought a brand new 2025 touring premium 570 last January. I’ve put 2900kms of aggressive riding on this thing since and I have to say I love this machine. The ride is good, power is good and It’s never let me down. People always rag on Polaris but this thing has been great.

I need help! 2015 Polaris ACE 570.

I brought a used ace (only 460mi) was running fine and perfect until I took it into somewhat deep water and now it gives me problems. Please dm or comment if you’re well adversed in Polaris engines. (567cc prostar engine)

2015 Polaris 570 sportsman.

Is there any good replacement fuel filter to get more than 10 hours out of. And is there any aftermarket kit to cut out and install a flap door in place where fuel filter is located so that You Don have to halfway disassemble the machine to change it?

Little help, guys? 800 Rzr

Taking a complete random stab here at this subreddit, and any help is appreciated.
I’ve been a Honda/Acura Master Technician for about 23 years combined. Good friend of mine who really doesn’t have much right now due to family stuff.. kindly asked me if I could help fix his Polaris side by side. He said it quit one day and wouldn’t restart. I have zero experience with any type of motorcycle or ATV in all honesty, but a motor is a motor. I marked stuff in Sharpie to show friend and explain to him.

So I think what I mostly want to gather here is:
-have you boys seen this type of failure before?
-is it cheaper to just replace the engine at this point? I have yet to get into the drive gears and all that but right now as the pics show, we have 3 out of 4 bent valves, and a chunk of the bore looks like piston rattled it away maybe? I also like how the rings are fully compressed without being in a bore.

At minimum, I would say 4 valves, 4 guides, valve job, seals, and a replacement cylinder, possibly look at options for compression ratio available with different pistons? Wiseco?

Or do we just throw a motor at this pig? Any help appreciated. Also lol @ some of these fasteners used and the socket sizes. 🤣
