Poloniex is refusing to credit 200,000 ADA stuck in their wallet due to a Cardano EUTXO dust bundle bug
Hey everyone, looking for advice or visibility from any Poloniex reps here.
I deposited 200,000 ADA (25 days back) to my official Poloniex ADA deposit address. The transaction went through completely fine on-chain, but the funds never credited to my exchange balance.
The Technical Issue:
Because Cardano uses the Extended UTXO (EUTXO) model, my transaction bundled a tiny piece of third-party dust—a native Cardano token called ADAOZ—into the exact same UTXO input.
Because Poloniex’s automated wallet system doesn't natively list or recognize ADAOZ, their deposit detection filter completely choked and flagged the deposit as "unsupported asset," leaving the 200,000 ADA frozen in limbo.
The Proof:
TXID: 09d9aab38e3cf1f13c186cf6b1396e548f0d1fc550b17aaec3b59b58886f2580
On-chain Status: Completely successful. The 200,000 ADA is physically resting inside the Poloniex-controlled Cardano address. They hold the private keys.
Support's Response:
I opened a ticket, and front-line support closed it with a generic, boilerplate response stating "cannot recover funds."
This is factually and technically wrong. This isn't a cross-chain mistake where I sent tokens to the wrong network. The ADA is right there in their wallet. A wallet admin or DevOps engineer just needs to manually split the UTXO bundle, credit the ADA, and discard the dust.
Dismissing a 200000 ada user deposit with an automated copy-paste script is completely unacceptable.
Has anyone successfully dealt with an exchange failing to parse a Cardano multi-asset UTXO before? If any Poloniex staff are reading this, please escalate my issue to a senior wallet administrator immediately.
