Vote YES on Measure Z: here is why
Yes on Pomona Measure Z:
It protects funding for children and youth programs. Measure Z is designed to preserve a dedicated funding stream for the Pomona Children and Youth Fund and supports community stability without sacrificing core services. I have been working with children and their families for over a decade and I can tell you that these programs and initiatives work but we cannot do it without essential safety services within the community. Measure Z is structured to help youth services while avoiding deeper cuts on public safety and other essential services. Measure Z does NOT mean paying higher taxes or taking anything away from residents, it just means it will helps ensure city revenue stays focused on Pomona residents’ needs, with clearer budgeting and oversight for how funds are used.
Voting Yes means investing in young people now, protecting basic city services, and keeping the city’s budget aligned with local priorities. Voting No on measure Z, will make the city go (quite literally) broke AND if you think Pomona is not safe now; wait to see what it will look without core services that are in place. Vote YES on measure Z.
