Where should I live?

Hi, I’m moving to the Pompano beach area and am between three apartments and want peoples honest opinions on safety, restaurants/bars, activities to do nearby: parks, beaches, pickleball, soccer, and good walkable area. I know each of these apartments offer different things and not every apartment will hit everything I’m looking for. So what do you think is the best option? I appreciate everyone’s opinions and advice! I’m excited to move to South Florida. My work will primarily be in Fort Lauderdale and Delray Beach with occasional days in Miami. I’m from the Chicagoland and just from visiting it doesn’t appear South Florida is very walkable and the parts that are are quite expensive.

Eterno Pompano beach $1800/1BR, located closer to coconut creek than the beach but looks like a good bargain but farther away from the beach and restaurants and bars to my understanding

Lumio Pompano Beach 2200/ 1BR: apparently brand new and offering a good leasing deal, however, also 20 minutes away from the beach and it’s in an area called the Pomp? Is the area early stages and a lot of construction or is it more near the end and in 2027 everything should be smooth sailing?

Morea Apartments: 2400/1BR, closest to the beach and activities such as the park and amphitheater, this one I visited and even then I didn’t feel like the town was that walkable

For context I toured Mayla Pompano and Old Towne Square and I felt Morea was preferred over those do to proximity to parks and amphitheater and amenities.

Visiting Pompano Beach!

Hi folks. My mom and stepdad are visiting your fine city for two nights. They're landing in Ft Lauderdale, and she plans to rent a car for the two nights.

The activities are a wedding reception and a brunch. I'm wondering, would it be more cost effective to just take Ubers or the equivalent? She's going to try and find the locations specifically of the hotel and restaurant she'll be going to. It's really an Uber in, an Uber out and maybe one or two trips in between. We're Canadian so the conversion sucks but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Kodak Black arrested again, months after getting keys to the city of Pompano Beach.

https://realpompano.substack.com/p/kodak-black-keys-to-city -- There's also the spreadshseet attached here.

Kodak Black is in the news again. This time got arrested for drug trafficking charges again.... But hey, at least it's not rape of a teenage concert goer this time.

The irony here is two MEN (Rex Hardin and Greg Harrison) made this decision in private, without any victims involved or at least any WOMEN.

They gave it to him because of his generosity, yet City of Pompano donates/contributes NOTHING to homeless, financial need or rent help. $0. Literally.

I wrote a post about a while back, and I made a spreadsheet that shows how he gets in trouble, and then gets out of jail for his frantic giving.
