PSA: Seafront closure
Closed from Aquarium to Pyramids for Sail GP from Friday until end of the month. Bandstand area/hill, which I know is used a lot by dog walkers, is already fully fenced off with no access at all

You: cute silver-haired Asian guy reading your Kindle on the seafront next to the castle lighthouse at midday today, in shorts, t-shirt and deck shoes.
Me: girl on bench next to you who got sunburnt sitting there hoping you'd notice me. Too shy, useless, and out of the game for too long to actually take the initiative.
My DMs are open.
These cakes are from the Tenth Hole, a cafe I really recommend!
Lots of sick tortoises are making vets bills high at the moment for Portsmouth Tortoise Rescue centre so anyone looking for a local charity to support they would sure be grateful for any help.

For context I was born in Portsmouth and grew up there for over 25 years. Between the late 80s and mid 2000s Portsmouth was a gorgeous city. Vibrant town centre, well kept and just generally a nice place to live. Going through the city yesterday. Fratton road and north end are awful and full of the same shops over and over, not to mention it looks filthy. Commercial road is awful and full of graffiti, homelessness, drug use and mostly closed shops.
What happened to this once beautiful city? I still love Portsmouth and to see it decline so badly is heartbreaking.
I placed my order on July 21, 2025, and over a year later, it still hasn’t been shipped.
Throughout this entire process, I’ve sent countless emails, but I’ve barely received any replies. First, they told me they were waiting for their supplier. Then they claimed they could no longer get the item. Instead of offering a refund, they refused and told me to choose a different product.
I wasn’t happy about not getting a refund, but I agreed to pick another item anyway. They asked me what I’d like instead, I replied, and then… nothing. Since May 31, they have completely stopped responding.
After checking their Google reviews and Instagram comments, I realized I’m far from the only customer who’s been treated this way. There are many people reporting the same problems: orders that never ship, poor communication, and refunds being refused.
This has been one of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re thinking about buying vinyl records from this store, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
Just look at this ridiculous timeline. They’ve wasted nearly a year of my time. They took my money, failed to fulfill my order, and then refused to give me a refund. What kind of scam operation is this?
Lady on the phone stated £54 but obviously forgot to state the rest of it as that’s just the calling out fee. 6pm Friday evening, lesson learnt forgot the keys but god dayum. £200 to get my door drilled and not get a new lock on??? Surely a lot no?
Fark and Roo have to be my favourites!

Hi everyone,
I struggle to understand English medical terminology well. Because of this language barrier, I want to find a local GP practice where I can communicate clearly.
Does anyone know of a specific GP surgery in the Portsmouth area that has a doctor who speaks Lithuanian, Latvian, or Russian? If you know the doctor's name as well, please let me know.
Thanks in advance!
I’m considering applying for Uni of Portsmouth next year, and was wondering if any locals could give me their honest opinions / experiences of the city.
Thank you :)
Hi all, I'm helping to organise two e-bike Demo Days in Bath and London on 14th June and 5th July respectively, and to celebrate National Cycling Week, we are giving out free tickets to Reddit users to try and encourage more people to get into cycling.
We'll have about 15 bike brands attending with over 100 bikes at both events, with a range of cargo, hybrid, folding, trikes and more, it's super family friendly and a great place to start if you're interested in trying out loads of e-bikes back to back or even bringing your kids along to try out a cargo bike. Here is the event page, if you enter the code NATIONALCYCLING at checkout it will show a free ticket.

Hi I am a female Muslim and wanna watch the game with a few friends . Does anyone know any locations where alcohol isn’t a mainstream thing like a pub but we still want to enjoy the crowds and atmosphere of watching the game together ?
Hey everyone, I have an extremely precious and sentimental chain that was my grandads and it's broken, think it's just the clasp that needs sorting but looking for recommendations, I was going to take it to Timpsons in Fratton Tesco but seeing if anywhere is better (I also have a watch that needs a new battery but doesn't have to be the same place)
I can hear protesters chanting. Something something shame on you. Anyone know what is happening?
