The Stamped Mail label on the left one is after the fact but maybe the other was Franked Mail?

The slot is normally covered by the sign on the front, so not accessible normally..

First picture is just after a light wire brush (didn’t want to remove too much old paint), plus primed.
Quite a bit to fix inside as hinges are pretty much all gone.

A surprise find! Apparently it was originally for the building’s international mail then repurposed by the Royal Mail - but not sure. A beauty.

It's tucked away, almost hidden, on Bangor, Gwynedd, High Street and looking a little the worse for wear but still beautiful in its way.
