Multiple apps necessary?
2 part question. Idk why I have 3 Poweramp apps and how can I see which one is the "real one"?. Also do I need the equalizer and unlocker apps? I'm on a Motorola android

I have last fm installed btw
I've been using poweramp with dump permission for a long time but I used it with brave, because of no ads ofc... Then after I got used to poweramp I felt I wanted room for the sound, I wanted some reverb... Then I searched for an app using which i can achieve reverb then I found RootlessJamesDSP...
But there was a problem... I couldn't stack both of the apps... Probably because of a single sound pipeline... And i was using brave... Which is not a music app to begin with... Then i downloaded metrolist which also didn't have ads... Then i thought wait a second... JamesDSP might also expose a channel that poweramp can latch onto ... The I'd be damned it worked... JamesDSP and poweramp were working together... Im so happy rn...
But, there's something "My guess is that JamesDSP creates an audio session that Poweramp can attach to, but that's just a hypothesis." It's working for me... But might not for you...
So,
-Metrolist for the songs...
-JamesDSP for convolver reverb etc... (I haven't learned james completely yet)... U will need adb here too...
-Poweramp, turn on poweramp eq for RootlessJamesDSP...
If anyone knows the Android audio mechanism behind this, I'd love to hear the explanation...
Anybody else have this problem with their daps or phone? OpenSL it keeps going to this one. I might have to go back using Hiby music app til the bugs get worked out
I only saw that you can make the text bigger or smaller. I use Proxima Skin.
So I know in doing a Big idiotic thing which is just using my Headphone jack, I didn't buy a DAC because my USB C port is freaked up, and I have to place the cable in a precise way to charge the thing (not a flagship,Samsung A15), What can I do to make it better? I also have a Sony xz1 that has a lossless quality upscale option should I try on there?
The file is 24-bit/96kHz. Two apps provided results here: one analyzed it perfectly, similar to Spek, while the other seems to be simply increasing the score based on the file format and sample rate. Please decide which is a gimmick and which is a true fidelity analysis. If anyone knows how Poweramp is doing this, please explain it to us i'm all ears.
Now I've a File that is Wv Format Highest Possible Quality.
But Poweramp Fidelity Is Lower Idk Why. (have Tried Setting)
But When I Play Different One 24-96 It Goes Up to 66 Fidelity.
(Not IEM Or DAC User)
As the title says music turns off in usb exclusive mode when phone's screen is turned off. Like it starts cutting off bit by bit.
Pls help me solve it
So I've tried every thing I can and it reached 93 maximum, I dont know that if i have to had a way higher resolution song or tweaked smth to reach 100, and I hope the devs will optimize this bit perfect feature so that there will be no more stuttering and fully pause when screen off with battery saving mode ✌️
DSD 512 gives above 100 . so what is it actually?
CD files, Tidal, and Amazon FLAC files reach 85 with a good DAC. However, even with a good DAC, ALAC and AAC scores are very low; AAC is 74 and ALAC maxes out at 76.
These scores vary across the different DACs I tested. With my other Audiocular note and D08 cs Pro, the maximum score for CD files is 83, while AAC and ALAC are very low at 58 and 65.
so share your scores guys know your source file quality. 🤗
Hey everyone, Running into a sparkling/crackling noise issue on Poweramp with my JadeAudio JA11 DAC into Truthear Pures (Nothing Phone 3A). It happens on both native DSD files and FLACs, using Bit Perfect / USB Exclusive output. I've toggled the USB DAC PCM/DSD Warmups and Sample Rate Quirk settings and tried switching output drivers to AAudio, but the crackling persists. Apple Music on a Mac /my phone with the same DAC plays completely clean, so it seems isolated to Poweramp specifically, possibly related to the new Bit Perfect feature. Attaching a screenshot of the audio pipeline showing the active flags during playback. Anyone else seeing this with a JA11 or similar dongle DAC?
