Ano ba need ko aralin when building a Project Car? I want to learn and do research pero I’m too overwhelmed where to start? Sobrang dami.
Pwede pa-suggest saan or ano simulan aralin and research regarding Project Cars?
Dinala ko sa suspension shop sabi is yung suspension bushing ko daw is palitin na. From there saka daw nila ayusin baka sa toe in yung problema. Ngayon hingi sana ako opinion nyo if ano pa pwede solution or baka may na experience na kayo same situation sa akin? And tama ba yung sinabi na suspension bushing lang talaga? Ang mahal kasi nung part if papalitan ko na talaga and baka mali lang din diagnosis nila.
Please help me decide 😅 my indecisive brain cannot!
Got some from Buddy Club coilovers for my 90s corolla.
Good day, I was also the one asking about fm vs ck before. We are already decided with CK. Our options are narrowed down to 2 units with the same price. One is a japan 4m41 diesel ck converted to lhd while the other is a duba gasi v6 ck original lhd.
For you, which one is a better buy? Japan 4m41 diesel converted or Dubai v6 original lhd?
Thanks for the insights.
Ano magandang project sedan from 2000s except Civic? Yung may 2001 model coz I was born in that year. I’m thinking of BMW. Project car will be used as weekend chill car. Di pang resing resing. Thanks!
Super new to Building Cars, super interested, and enthusiastic. Anyway, I want to build my own personal project car.
I wanted to ask for opinions and insights regarding what to build?
I want to start small. Im leaning towards Toyota (Corolla or Altis) or Honda (Civic or City). Tito vibes and mag feeling racing-racing para kunware may bitaw at dating (haha). But if you have any suggestions I would appreciate them.
Primary use and concerns.
For city driving mostly (mostly home, work and mall going - errands and such, gusto mai-gala yung mga senior parents ko and mga kapatid ko)
Long drive for leisure and relaxation (vacations, beach trip, camping)
Tipid sa gas, yung mga injection pump siguro para tipid (sino bang may gusto ng magastos haha)
Not too complicated and/or difficult to build. Gusto ko mag enjoy building this project car and don’t want to stress myself pag hindi ako makakita ng parts for it (haha)
Not an expert driver so can be used as a practice car din sana. (Syempre ayaw ko maging kamote sa kalsada)
How much should I be saving para sa ganito? (I am expecting nasa 50k-80k) just want to start sana kahit simple lang basta running, and improve it along the way. I don’t want to spend agad agad sa mga improvements and upgrades kasi gusto ko sana makita siyang nage-evolve through the years.
NOTE: I have my own parking. (syempre ito pinaka important)
Ayun lang siguro. I am very eager to learn and research naman about this, gusto ko lang sana mag crowd source and hear some thoughts and of course mag enjoy doing this, syempre ayaw ko mag sayang ng panahon at pera kaya I am thoroughly gathering information hehe.
Any thoughts, advice, suggestions and opinions will be very much appreciated.
Thank you!
This is my oldest and first project car, a 1975 corolla SR KE35 (a true KE35, as stamped sa vin). that I started driving back in the late 90s when I was in high school. Currently the car is in storage status with LTO.
A car that taught me how to DIY fix and destroy things. I learned to paint a car as well, from body prep to primer to painting. Just looking for the right time and a fresh chassis to restore her.
It is special being a true and legit ke35 as it has the 3K-B engine which is only found on ke35s. From the factory it is equipped with an aisin Twin down carb, and has a compression ratio of around 10:1, revs all the way to 7-8k with a short ratio 4 speed.
- DIY port and polish
- DiY oil catch can
- custom front suspension using Honda esi springs with generic sleeves and revalved shocks.
- carbon fiber bucket seat
- twin bazooka exhaust (before i blew the engine) / Honda access EG exhaust (after rebuild)
- wheels depende sa mood. I have 13x8 tom's igetta on 185/60 tires, 13x7 enkei mosport or ATS Classic on 205/60 tires, 13x7 enkei apache mesh on 175/60, 15x7 LA wheels on 195/50, 13x5 toms on 175/65.
- depende din sa mood if I use the KE35 tailights or Levin tailights, I also have an Australian spec tailights somewhere.
*photos are not of the best quality as the photos were primarily from 2000-2009
Price was irresistable for its condition. I'll slowly polish her up to be my main daily/longdrive vehicle. 4a-fe engine and A240L tranny seems to be well and eager to drive despite 228k km in the odometer.
It'll serve as a polar opposite to my BMW Z3, a low cost, comfortable, and practical tank. It wont be on the usual project car trajectory of making it faster and sportier. I'll keep it boring and reliable.
228k km ae111, get ready to be pampered 🤣
