Sneak peak? I'm just fuelling speculation
I just got this game for my birthday, and i'm playing on controller. However when driving straight, the car automatically goes left on itself. At first I thought it was stick drift, but I tried with a newer controller and it had the exact same. Even when setting my deadzone ridicously high, it still does it. You can also see in the bottom left corner, the steering telemetry shows no input, and still the cars goes to the left. What setup changes do I need to do to fix this issue? Other cars have this issue as well.
I really like and enjoy playing Project Motor Racing, but I was really disapointed when I have seen some of cars in the game, that I really like, having terrible liveries.
• Nissan Skyline Super Silhouette is one of two group 5 cars, that I like mostly, but I was really dissapointed, when I seen it's liveries, missing so many sponsors.
• Nissan 300ZX Turbo GTO, is another car I like, that miss alot of sponsors on the sides of it's liveries.
• Nissan R390 GT1, is interesting car I like, but it's liveries are empty and boring with only those Nissan stickers and numbers, so I haven't drive that class before a mod with GT1 liveries appeared on Modhub.
• Toyota GT-One, is my most liked prototype till today, but those in game liveries look lazy. It's just empty car with a number and without sponsors, like test livery. On Nissan R390 GT1 they kept those patterns of the car, but on GT-One, nothing. It's the biggest dissapointed for me in the game and I'm gratefull to the person, who maked that GT1 Liveries pack.
Would be interested to see, what other PMR players think about liveries, of they favorite cars in game.
Hi there, we all know that this game launched with some heavy setbacks, and was a target of a lot of criticism. After 6 months, do you still think the game is the same, or has it changed? And about the physics, are the cars still arcade? I'm thinking of buying, but after the launch and the critics, i don't have that desire no more.
There needs to be a setting for track limits to tone it down. Like a strict or lenient setting. I'm tired of ruining my qualifying lap because I went off the track a little bit or getting penalized during a race because I suck and use a controller on PS5
There needs to be an accelerated Tire wear and fuel consumption setting so A.I. cars are forced to pit in shorter races because I suck and use a controller on PS5
An actual career mode where teams sign you to a contract on a season by season basis because I suck and use a controller on PS5
Lap times from A.I. cars are all over the place and not consistent in some racing series from practice to Qualifying to race. Hypercar seems to be the most consistent. For instance if I'm running 4 gallons of gas for practice run I might place in the top 5 and be less than a second off the pace of the pole sitter. If I do the same thing in Quali I might be 5 seconds off the pace of the pole sitter. I have to slide the difficulty down to 60 to have a chance to challenge the rest of the field because I suck and use a controller on PS5
One example that annoys me so much is that it seems I cant adjust the triggers, as they are right now way to strong with that setting I have no change to go efficiently with breaking and gas.
Solved, thank you all. By the way, there are a lot more options behind "cockpit adjustment" as you might think, I think now I am nearing my likings in this game.
As I wrote in my previous post about a week ago, I bought this game and was primarily interested in recreating the IMSA weathertech schedule but amongst other issues I mentioned that the lmdh/gtp cars that were supposed to be a highlight of this game (considering one is quite literally the cover car and the game is not shy of using its IMSA licensed branding) were quite difficult and inconsistent to drive especially on colder tires.
Anyways, I just got on and had the chance to try the cadillac lmdh and it is a day and night difference, at least for me. I am now able to get consistent laps in without having snap oversteer at low speeds that turns into super stability immedately after. The lmdh do not only feel driveable now but dare I say enjoyable. This is a wonderful step in the right direction and I truly hope the devs continue to put in the effort to improve the cars across all classes and most importantly the optimization of this game's framerate etc. Also, I hope the sound issues on the M3 GTR get addressed sometime soon, it is a small issue but it saying it is a v8 but having the sound of an I6 as a placeholder is a bit bothersome to me. Same thing for the aston martin valkyrae, it is meant to be a roaring v8 but sounds like a V6 that was pitched up a tad bit.
Looking forward to seeing the game grow and progress! wonderful update.
How tf can they not figure out the handling and tuning in this game. GT3 cars still spin out in slow tight corners! Done everything to fix this bs and it still broken. Open/closed differential, changed camber, toe in/out suspension settings, number of clutches, down force.. done it all.
I drive with TC off always and feels like the transmission always locks the tires around hairpins whether you give it no gas, a little or blast thru it.
Been going to mosport track for 20 yrs and my old 300zx with no aero that was tuned to just over 500hp would rip around any corner and hold nicely with good throttle control.
It's just not possible in this game with GT3 cars. Absolute buzz kill.
I think the price drop and new content is releasing tomorrow in Rennsport, so I gotta try now.
This game just peez me right off.
Seen on discord. Triples with proper aspect ratio
Guys please share your tips with me, I am on PS5 and trying to enter the ranked area.
I tried several times now but my lowest so far is 8:19
I am a bit confused but also accept the challenge it seems to be a me issue as I have acc and gt7 experience.
Any tips? or was it actually easy for you?
Is there maybe a car setting that could help?
Thank you!
WHY IN PMR (V. 2.0.0.3) GT3 and GT4 CARS ARE SO FRUSTRATING? They seem like they haven't grip at all on the rear, and even with some adjustment they keep spinning. (I'm playing on ps5 w controller) and only gt3 and gt4 cars are so HARD to control.
Has anyone seen anything about the next DLC drop for PMR?
All I know is Q2 but we're nearing that and still nothing no teasers or anything yet, I'm sure come June we will see and hear something
I am quite competetive when it comes to racing games though my sim racing was only limited to RBR, Dirt Rally 2.0, and EA WRC. Essentially just rslly racing for years. Project motor racing and ACC are the first proper track racing games and I am genuinely REALLY enjoying the online in this game. For whatever reason every online race in ranked I had in project motor racing had good battles and pretty damn clean racing as opposed to public lobbies in ACC. Anyways, I drive with the racing line on since I am quite unfamiliar with the tracks but as time went on I seem to deviate from the racing line at times (and find better overall lap times). However, on other tracks the racing lines seem to give the most optimal lines (not the braking points though, many seem too early on unnecessary). Anyways I heard the racing line is a bad idea from different sim racing sources so I dont know if continuing to use it is a good idea or not. Any suggestions on whether I should use it or not or just continue using it mostly as a "oh its turning red so a turn is coming up" type of feature.
Any and all suggestions greatly welcomed.
TL;DR- Is the racing line a good or bad thing, optimal or is it faster to take completely different lines in different places?
What I want from Project Motor Racing is a more realistic and immersive online racing experience, kind of like Forza Motorsport but with the deeper motorsport feel. I think it would be way better if players actually had to buy and own their cars instead of everyone just loading into the same car in every lobby. Having progression and building your own garage would make racing feel more rewarding and personal. It would also create more variety online because everybody would be bringing different cars, setups, and builds instead of every race feeling identical.
I’d also love a real race weekend format where you join a lobby and wait in a practice session until qualifying starts, then after qualifying the race begins. That whole flow would make online racing feel way more authentic and organized instead of just waiting in the load until the race. Rolling starts would also make a huge difference because they feel much more like real motorsports and would help reduce the chaos at the beginning of races. Overall I just want the multiplayer to feel more alive, competitive, and immersive instead of feeling like quick arcade matchmaking.
I say this because I heavily support Project Motor Racing and honestly see it having the potential to become one of the top sim racing games on console if they do it right. I think the game could really stand out by focusing on a true motorsports experience.
The biggest thing for me is making progression matter. Having players buy, own, and build their own cars would make every race feel more personal and rewarding while also bringing more diversity to online lobbies. Pairing that with organized race weekends that include practice sessions, qualifying, and races would make the game feel much more authentic and competitive. Adding rolling starts would also improve realism and help races flow smoother overall.
I genuinely think if PMR leans into more realism, progression, and immersive multiplayer systems like some what, it could become one of the best sim racing games available on console.
