Vancouver show on September 4th! Anyone need a ride?

Alright people! We're gonna have a rock and roll party on the 4th! Here we go!

So I'm finally going to see Propagandhi for the first time and I'm driving from Portland to do it. I'm wondering if anyone might need a ride? I'm happy to give one or two people a lift there or back or both. I am staying in a hotel in Surrey the night of the show, so if you need both ways, you'll have to find a place to stay. Let me know if you need a ride up there or back and I'm happy to lend a seat.

If you want to help with gas prices that's awesome, but I was a street punk once upon a time and know what it's like to be broke and trying to get to a show, so I'm flexible there. All I really ask is to meet up sometime before the day of the show so I know who I'm driving.

Tickets for some Canadian Dates!

Hi peps, long short story, I applied for the Canadian tourist visa in the beginning of the year, it was denied and then I apppied again but I'm still waiting for a response from the Canadian embassy... At this point I'm a bit hopeless I will make for my trip which the main intention was to follow some Props shows... Aka my favorite band.

I already got rid of some tix but if anyone it's interested I have one for each date above - original price but no fees:

- 29th August - Edmonton
- 4th September - Vancouver

I have for Winnipeg as well but since they are the last one from the tour (and also I have a tiny bit of hope I could make a last minute trip if that goddammit visa arrive in time) I still will hold with me, otherwise I will also pass to someone :)

Thanks!

Ps.: If someone is asking "that's a lot of dates for someone", last year I saw this band live for the very first time in my life and I couldn't hold myself to make it a full week of vacation following 6 of their european shows... Best time of my life. Still looking forward to repeat that in their homeland and also to meet in person some of the online friends this band gave to me!

B-bye!

I removed the text on the Failed States cover to use as a desktop or phone wallpaper.

All credit to Todd of course.

I know everyone has seen this but GODDAMN, 2:01-2:10 has to be the best 10 seconds of music ever recorded.

The way they transfer the riff between Chris and Sulynn, and then how Jord drops back in… so motherfucking clean.

Dud - May Not Go (lost recording from 1996) John K Samson from Propagandhi / Weakerthans, James from I Spy, and Mike from Bonaduces / Cheerleader

I’m very excited to launch the preorder for the Dud LP. First, it’s a benefit album for Palestinian aide chosen by the band. Second, this long lost LP from this band has some of my favorite musicians involved. John Samson Fellows is perhaps the greatest song writer of all time and this band was a short lived project that filled the gap between the time he left Propagandhi and before starting the Weakerthans. It’s been a goal of mine since starting this label to work with him in some capacity. Mike Koop played in The Bonaduces (some of the best Canadian pop punk from the 90s!). James Ash was the drummer of one of my favorite Canadian hardcore bands, I Spy. Dud was all of these musicians stepping out their comfort zones and playing something new.

Revisiting my old friend on vinyl

just got my LTMR vinyl reissue. hard to describe how much this album means to me. sitting here listening to the songs, every single one I know deep in the depths of my soul but given a new vibrancy on wax. reading the lyrics and liner notes that STILL have so much relevance, urgency and feeling. what a band, what an album. thank you Propagandhi for squeegeeing my third eye (to quote the late Bill Hicks) and waking me up from my stupor all those many years ago.
