The NerdOctAxe Design by TycheMinerDesign

This is a free STL to use for prints for you my fellow miners. I have not been able to print myself yet to verify all kinks are worked out but had no idea how many people need one cause theirs are broken so hopefully it pans out if not I will make corrections and fix. This is not intended for resellers or vendors to use. If you don't have a 3D printer contact me and I will see what we can do to get it to you as inexpensive as possible. Special thanks to Reddit member "InDrIdCoLd37" who helped me fix my layering issues. Also, I want to thank all of you for your help and advice.

I will have two more OctAxe versions out soon with fore mentioned ideas as well as all kinds of useful things i have designed including the BitAxeQuad Stand topper that holds the electrical wires and a dome topper to use the air created and pushed by the bottom 120mm fan to cool the front and VR it works great.

Been testing for a few days.

Here is link to my page please like and share. Thank you all for the help and support.

So much for hope in PETG

I was hoping that the exhaust port around my diesel heater wouldn’t get hot enough to make the PETG melt. Hope went out the window when 10 minutes after starting up the left side started to droop.

Looks like I’ll be redoing it in ABS 🤦‍♂️

Core One HULA Anti-Vibration Legs

I created these legs and adapters for the Core One to utilize HULA anti-vibration feet.

I've been using HULA anti-vibration feet on a number of my other printers to great success and finally got around to creating some legs that nicely adapt the core one to them. They're tall enough to allow for many common undermount build plate holders without being so tall as to introduce unwanted wobble.

This was my first project where I forced myself to use FreeCAD instead of Fusion as I (slowly) begin my conversion.

All feedback is welcome!

[Update] Core One+ Prusa Pro Green White with UI Changes and CFW Release

Hey everyone,

some of you might remember my first post about this build. Don't be surprised — that was from my private account, but I'm using this one now.

Quite a lot has changed since then.

For those who haven't seen the original — the whole white look started with chemically stripping all the metal parts and powder coating them white. The handle got repainted in the closest match to the original Prusa Prusa Orange I could find. All cables are newly white sleeved too, which really cleans up the inside. And a white Buddy Cam to top it off.

Updated Build

I also added some printed mods — big thanks to the people who designed these:

The printer is also running my own custom firmware — v6.5.4 CFW N3DP_DE, based on Buddy v6.5.3. I reworked the UI with different presets, a color picker and switchable backgrounds (white, black, gray).

If you want to install the Custom Firmware at your own Printer you can find the files here

On top of that: LED control via M150 straight from the slicer — for another project I'll be posting here in the next few days if everything works out as planned 👀, Connect-Name in the footer so you can see which Connect printer you're looking at, and a screenshot option via knob-hold.

Maybe it's a bit of cheating but I'm entering this as a Print of the Month — there was a lot of work and a lot of printing involved. If that's not okay just ignore it for that 😄

Based on the SIgnage it seams like the Printer Is Josef Prusa Approved :D

Clogging Every Other Print

I have been printing the same part successfully for over a week. Until I ran out of filament. I printed another print that went well while I awaited the new spools. Then on last Tuesday my shipment of filament arrived and I resumed printing the original file. Midway through the first layer, the extruder started clicking. I performed a cold pull, which fixed the issue for one print. On the next print it started clicking again mid-first layer. I decided to take this opportunity to change from the default nozzle and switched to a .4 ObXidian nozzle. After changing it, I had trouble loading filament without clicking. I checked the idler tension, re-seated the new nozzle, cleaned the gears, and finally got it loaded. I re-sliced the model since I was no longer using the HF nozzle and printed one part successfully. The following print clogged again. I cleared the nozzle and dried the filament just to be safe. Again it worked for exactly one print. The following print it started clicking mid-first layer.

I am going to try to print something completely different with a different filament to see if I still have the same issue.

I am not sure where to go next on this one. What am I missing?

I'm semi new to 3d printing, have a CoreOne, disassembled the belt assembly and got everything set back and calibrated 98hz-94hz. This is a major improvement from previous prints. The long scar like imperfection was caused by that corners perimeter lines failing to adhere to bed. That being said what could be causing these marks and the very front left corner of bed issue?
