Food poisoning, you've been warned.

Wanted to share my experience this past winter on my first trip to Punta Cana. After looking forward to a well deserved vacation with my wife and 2 young daughters, ages 4 and 6. We decided to stay at Catalonia Bávaro in Punta Cana. Unfortunately my 6 year old and myself came down with food poisoning at this resort. I found it pretty odd how this resort had an on-site Doctor at the resort with full medical clinic. I can go on and on about my experience but I feel like others need to know if I could help out any unsuspecting families with younger kids.

Básicamente trabajas ayudando clientes a organizar viajes, itinerarios y reservas, mientras generas comisiones. No necesitas oficina física y puedes manejarlo desde casa o incluso como ingreso adicional.

🔹 ¿Qué haces?

  • Ayudar personas a planear viajes según su presupuesto.
  • Cotizar hoteles, vuelos, cruceros y parques.
  • Crear itinerarios personalizados.

  • Horarios flexibles.
  • Puedes hacerlo remoto.
  • No necesitas experiencia previa en turismo (aunque ayuda).
  • Potencial de generar ingresos por comisión.
  • Beneficios y descuentos relacionados con viajes.

🔹 Ideal para:

  • Personas que aman viajar.
  • Gente buscando ingresos extra.
  • Quienes quieren un side hustle online.
  • Personas interesadas en emprendimiento remoto.

Si alguien tiene curiosidad sobre cómo funciona realmente este mundo, puede comentar o escribirme y les comparto info sin problema ✌️

At Iberostar Selections Bavaro Suites

What is the difference between the regular junior suites and the junior suites tropical view and ocean view? Obviously the last two have views but what is the difference from the regular? Additionally, are there reservation limits? I've seen that there are restaurant reservation limits at their other resorts.

first time

Hi everybody!!! In a few weeks I’ll be going to Punta Cana for my first time and technically my first time out of the country (been to Puerto Rico and loved it but it doesn’t count lol). My friends and I are staying at Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar and I was looking for some tips/recommendations!

How did you guys handle showering/getting drinks with ice? I’ve heard so many horror stories about people getting sick and vomiting from the water there. I’m a huge emetophobe and honestly this is my biggest fear LOL. I already know to brush my teeth with bottled water and keep my mouth closed in the shower, so is there anything else I should do?

Excursions — are there any that you HIGHLY recommend? We definitely want to go on a boat while we’re there but are open to anything.

Has anybody stayed at this exact resort? Anything you recommend restaurant wise or just in general?

Also besides cute outfits/swimsuits, what are some travel essentials you guys recommend packing that people don’t think about until they get there? 😂

Thanks so much in advance 😊

Dreams Macao Beach

We recently booked Dreams Macao Beach for an extended family vacation this fall. I was recently reading there is construction going on next door. Has anyone been there recently that could provide feedback? And does anyone know if this will be completed by the fall? We booked PC swim out rooms if that matters for the area we are in. Trying to decide if we should switch resorts. TIA!

Dreams cap cana vs Dream macao

Trying to decide between Dreams Macao and Dreams Cap Cana for a wedding group trip and wanted honest opinions from people who have actually stayed at either resort or heard anything worth sharing.

We’ll probably have around 50 adults, 12 kids, and im blocking about 22 rooms. Macao is coming out about $40more per adult per night if that changes anything.($240 vs $198 basic room)

I’m not looking for a travel agent or someone trying to sell me packages — just opinions. I’ve never been to either resort n only watched YouTube videos so far. One thing I keep hearing/seeing is that Cap Cana beach isn’t as pleasant compared to Macao’s beach.

For anyone who’s stayed at either:

  • Which resort felt nicer overall?

- Better food/drinks?

- Better for a mixed group of adults + kids?

- Better beach and pools?

- Better nightlife/activities?

If you had to pick one for a wedding group, which would you choose. I know hard to please everyone

Thank you

Also going in April

TRS Turquesa

Girlfriend and I potentially booking a week long stay here for June. Last minute vacation and the price is ideal. Seen very mixed reviews on both polar ends of the spectrum. Looking for advice and suggestions. Yay or nay for this place?

Best Nightlife Resort in Punta Cana?

Hello!!

Me and some friends are traveling to Punta Cana in July and we were wondering if anyone has some resort recommendations. We know it’s peak sargassum season but we don’t really mind we’re looking for parties more than the beach but we are also going to be traveling outside the resort. Which all inclusive is the best for nightlife? Any suggestions help, thanks!

Bahía Principe Ámbar Punta Cana review May 2026

Just got back from Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar and I’d give it a solid 4/5.

The swim-up room absolutely made the trip. Highly recommend asking for one with afternoon sun. We were in the 6400 block and the location was perfect, steps from the pool and beach, which matters because the resort is HUGE. Loved the temperature of both the swim-up pool and main pool, perfect all day.

Room was modern, clean, comfy, and the shower pressure was great. The resort itself was beautiful, really well kept, and the scenery was gorgeous.

Biggest downside was the food. Mostly bland, under seasoned, and often cold unless you got something made fresh. Saturday was randomly the best food day.

The app was useless, and they did a bad job advertising events. The TV would promote shows but not say what day, time, or location, so we randomly found out about things.

For context, I’m Dominican and speak Spanish, so my service experience may not be everyone’s, but staff was really kind to us.

Overall, really special trip since my fiancé proposed there 🥹 If the food and communication were better, easy 5/5.

Planning a four-day trip for myself and my partner in mid to late June 2026. I've been to Mexico and have some experience, but Punta Cana will be a new experience for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We prefer an adults-only environment.
