Looking to Transfer In

I'm currently wrapping my 1L at another CBE-accredited school and learned that the school will be shutting down at the end of the year. They have an agreement with PGL for transferring as well as a few others. I think PGL looks right for me, but hoping to get some clarifications on things that the admissions counselor was a little wishy washy on.

Right now I have live sessions from 6-730 every Tuesday and Thursday. My understanding is that the PGL classes do 1 hour per class over 2 days, but the meeting times are variable on days and times after 5pm pacific. How much variation is there really and how does that work? Do you find out the week before the semester what the class meet times are going to be and scramble to change your life for the next 16 weeks? Right now I have a cohort that we've been going through the same classes together, how much does that happen at PGL?

Transferring to an ABA school?

Hi,

Current student here.

Has anyone successfully transferred from PGLS to an ABA-accredited school, or is anyone currently considering it? I know transferring can be a sensitive topic and that people may have a lot of different opinions and feelings about it, but I’m genuinely curious whether it has been done before and how realistic of an option it is. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through the process, looked into it, or is thinking about doing it!

Applied for September BUT…

Applied for September start date, application package submitted to admissions committee late last week, on Monday received an acceptance to start in January 2027 pending completion of the flex program. September is full.

Just an update in case anyone else has their application sitting out there in the wild with the admissions committee.

Financial aid issues?

Wondering if anyone else has been in the same boat.

I'm starting classes in September, and I received my funding offer today. There was zero federal aid offered. I called in and was told that it was an issue on their end. There's a flag they're supposed to clear in regard to undergrad student loans when they're near the limit, and I guess someone didn't do that.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how long did it take to receive your new funding offer?

Edit: Now they're requesting proof of high school graduation...

Feedback On Courses and Professors

Hey all, recently assigned my professors for 1L Fall. Legal Analysis 1 (Vitale), Torts 1 (Dodge)and Contracts 1 (Duhl). Any feedback on these professors? For those who did well in their classes, was there anything specific you focused on based off of their teaching style?

Assigned reading

I’m starting classes in September and was wondering how often readings are assigned that don’t come from the textbooks? I’m trying to figure out if I can get by with a Kindle Scribe for most of my reading, or if I need something that can handle other document types too.
