Is Lux really that bad?

I have seen multiple reviews on google saying that there is a homless problem, pests, and mice in the building. even some reviews saying that the showers are ice cold. is that true?

also is north hall better? i want to cook my own food because i dont like the limited meal plans.

Campus Shuttle didn't pick up from PMU

Title. Today at 7:00pm I guess they didn't think anyone'd be waiting at PMU? I have no idea. The bus just didn't come. Thankfully I'm an in-state student so my parents live in Indiana, but they're having to pick me up from Indianapolis. I'm at a loss from words. Oh but Purdue Indy is the same experience as WL btw

Accepted Student Self Guided Tour

We are heading to Indy to do as much of an accepted student tour as we can on our own. It does not appear that there are any specific events or activities this summer for accepted students, so trying to piece this together ourselves.

Any ideas on what we should get to with our student? Current thinking is:

  1. Campus Tour
    1. Campus Center: We'll go to the shared Campus Center with IUI
    2. "Campus" Gym: We'll eyeball the one in Campus Center, but is NIFS available to PUI students? If so, we definitely will get in there. Maybe even get a workout in,
    3. North Hall walk by: we'll swing by North Hall. I think this is where he is ending up?
    4. Engineering Science & Technology Building: Definitely will hit this up as this is where he'll be with his fellow engineers.
    5. Academic Success Building Progress: We'll check on progress here and chat what this may look like his sophomore year.
    6. Any other suggestions? Any student orgs doing anything this summer? He'll likely be interested in any sports options to watch as a fan from IUI, he's a musician looking to join the West Lafayette Orchestras or anything in Indy.
  2. Indianapolis Activities
    1. We'll go to a Fever game. Big basketball and sports fans in general.
    2. We'll do some of the Canal walk.
    3. We'll hit up the Garage Food Hall.
    4. If we had time, we'd get over to Turkey Run State Park!
    5. Potentially Indiana State Museum or the Zoo if we are feeling up for it.
    6. Any other options that are more specific to IUI student hangouts?

Looking for a short-term sublease (male) - West Lafayette/Indianapolis | July onwards under $900

Hello everyone,

I recently graduated and am looking for a room or sublease in either the West Lafayette or Indianapolis area starting in July.

I’m currently job searching, so I’m only looking for a short-term housing arrangement while I figure out my next steps. My budget is $700/month or less.

I’m flexible on the length of the stay. Whether you have a room available for a month, the summer, or a few months, I’d be interested in hearing about it.
I’m clean, responsible, respectful, and easy to live with.

If you have a room available or know of any opportunities, please feel free to message me.

Thanks
