It's been quite a while since I last played something related to PvZ, but recently I got a bit nostalgic, and I wanted to go back to this franchise. I've done some research and came across these two versions of the second game (which I've seen that you already know about), so I was wondering if you could recommend one or the other. I've already seen a bit of what they have to offer (like Reflourished being better for mobile and Gardenless for PC), but I don't really know which one I should choose. Anyway, I have a pretty decent PC and phone, so that shouldn't be a problem (and if I don't decide between the two I could just play one in my phone and the other in my PC)

Edit: Well, as always you really helped with this! Seeing your comments I think I'll give Reflourished some priority but I won't discard the idea of trying Gardenless at some point. And definitely I will do some research about Alter UniverZ to see if I like it and if that's the case then maybe I'll try it!

Starfruit would be a tier 2 hybrid of Peashooter and Levitwig.

Leeku would be a tier 2 of >!Cowbell!< and Aloe.

Paleontologist is a reskin of Hunter Zombie from Frostbite Caves.

Fire wall zombie would work very similarly to Shield Zombie from Far Future except he only defends his own lane.

here's how it's going (each screenshot shows the final plant layout of each level)

achievements they've currently unlocked: spudow, disco is undead, penny pincher, 20 below zero

NOTE: before 1-4 it was just chatgpt, deepseek and meta. i added claude before 1-4, then gemini before 2-1

NOTE 2: from 1-1 to 1-8 i only allowed them 1 action per turn (collecting sun, planting or shoveling). after 1-8 i allowed unlimited actions per turn (as long as they're not lengthy)

ICE PEA:

T3 Plant merging Snow Pea + Reapeater, shoots 2 Ice Peas per attack that slows down zombies on a 1x1 area. Every 8 shots will shoot an Ice Cube that frozes completly zombies on a 1x1 for 9 seconds. The Ice Cube also slows down zombies on a 3x3 area around.

Created him based on the imgame plushie model with small changes. Hes so goofy I love him

Last post I showed the whole planttern line, now I did the first hybrid for planttern evolutions:

Glowshooter:

It fires projectiles that damage and buff the plants it passes through. Buffing a 20% speed for 8 seconds. Slow attack speed. Doesnt expire unlike plantern line.

So Planttern is one of those plants that Popcap really don't know how to implement. They tried it in some levels in evolved but meh, nothing interesting. Here is a whole Plantern rework for PvZ3 Evolved, with now, a whole evolution line of T1, 2 and 3:

Plantern:

Plantern is a new T1 plant that costs 50 Sun and works as a support for the team. Now, Plantern buffs a 5% of speed for the plants in a 3x3 area, can buff sun production speed or attack speed. It will stay planted for 30 seconds and then it will dissapear.

Lightroot:

T2 Plant merging Plantern + Planttern, buffs a 14% of speed for plants in a 3x3 area (Production or attack). It will dissapear after 72 seconds.

Glowwood:

T3 Plant merging Lightroot + Lightroot, buffs a 24% of speed for plants in a 3x3 area (Production or attack). It doesnt dissapear.
