2025/26 BMW S1000RR owners - Best way to install a Quad Lock Wireless Charging Head?

I’ve just picked up a 2026 S1000RR and I’m trying to decide the best way to install my Quad Lock Wireless Charging Head.

From what I’ve found, there seem to be three options:

BMW GPS/accessory connector (OEM repair connector)

Direct to the battery (with or without the Quad Lock Smart Adaptor)

Rear USB-C port with the USB charging head

For those of you who have actually installed one on a 2025+ model, which method did you go with and why?
I’m looking for the cleanest OEM-style installation with no CAN bus issues, no warning lights, no fault codes and no unnecessary battery drain.

If you’ve got photos of your setup or any advice, I’d really appreciate it.

Where does this go?!

I was installing a dampener and saw this on the floor. I inspected every single piece and can't figure out where this goes to. Head or dampener.

Anyone knows where this belongs to?

Thanks in advance!

Vibration Dampener - Car Application

So I thought I would give the Vibration Dampeners a try for my automotive use case. I know that they are primarily intended for biking/motorcycles, but I was hoping that it would work for my application, GOPRO's capturing drives on side and paved backroads. My main mounting locations are:

  • A mount on the windshield or near the hood in the front (not on the hood itself, it vibrates too much)
  • A mount on the windshield top right or left
  • Mounted on the trunk facing backwards

Unfortunately based on my samples I think they actually enhance vibration for this use case. It was worth a shot and now "we" know.
I'm even wondering if the really the best way to mount with the Suction Base is to use the Action Cam Head, or just a Lever Head attached directly to the Suction base.

Quad lock position

I’m looking to buy a quad lock but having trouble in choosing the placement on my 2016 Naked Z1000. Quad lock website is recommending handlebar mount or brake/clutch mount.

Online people are saying to get the stem mount but I don’t think is possible because the stem hides underneath my dash pretty good. Am I able to remove the dash and get to the stem easily?

Suggestions?

What can I use to prevent the charging cable from breaking at the join?

I'm careful with my chargers because they're expensive to replace but this one frayed at the join for the charger. This is an $80 replacement and it's out of warranty. How can I prevent this from happening again? I like the rectangle plug but this bending where it joins the charging wire is a serious problem.

Excellent warranty

So I've had my mag charger, usb cable, vibration mount on my bike for 2 years now. My phone case started to separate on the right side looked like it wasn't tight against the phone. Contacted quad lock. Of course I no longer have proof of purchase. The service lady looked me up in the system and I received my new phone case just 3 days later. Thank you quadlock.

Fork Stem Mount Pro + Motorcycle Vibration Dampener + MAG CaseApple iPhone 17 Pro

Hey everyone

I just bought the Fork Stem Mount Pro together with the Motorcycle Vibration Dampener and the MAG Case for my iPhone 17 Pro.

I mounted it on the bike and recorded a short video showing the amount of vibration. (stationary, not riding)

I’m curious what you all think: does this look normal/acceptable for this kind of setup, or would you be concerned about the phone/camera over time?

I also bought the same case for my old iPhone 12 Pro Max, so I’m wondering if it would be smarter to use the 12 Pro Max on the mount instead and just hotspot from my 17 Pro.

Main question: would you trust the iPhone 17 Pro on this mount with the vibration dampener, or play it safe and use the older phone as the dedicated bike/nav phone?

Appreciate any thoughts or experiences.
