Saw this picture in one of my WWI books and immediately got reminded of Quar

Do you put flags on your standard bearers?

Photo just to show it off. I'm painting a standard bearer at the moment and I'm not decided on whether to leave the stick bear or put a little flag on it. Any thoughts either way?
