Guy at my LGS set up a demo game and is gonna see if the store will carry quar. I'm really into it, what would I need/be recommended to get started? We just did a small 4 guys v 4 guys how big is like a standard game? Also where can I read the lore?

I did not paint these guys, they were a teaser from Zombiesmith’s instagram. Wargames Atlantic put in their newsletter that they will be releasing two Calvary boxes (crusader and coftyran). Apparently there’s going to be dismounted troopers included as well.
My little brother got Quar miniatures for xmas because he wanted to start making and painting miniatures. He’d researched the game but after making the miniatures he didn’t know what paint to use on them. He is worried about ruining them. He’d been looking at citadel paint but decided not on it until he asked someone. So overall my question is, What paint brand/type do y’all use for your miniatures and do y’all have any tips for painting?

Im wondering if after the release of the plastic cavalry if any more rules for released resin units will get rules, and if so what would you guys want from the most.
As a crusader player I dont have much on my wishlist other than the Cernols getting rules, but a funny one would be the Baeliog getting rules, despite it being masive, perhaps it could be the price of 1 standard force (300pts) to allow silly op rules.
As for outside my faction I would like to see the toulmore wire layer get rules, perhaps it puts down a few cavalry base sized tokens, to represent barbed wire witch act as impassable before deployment.
I would also love to hear if anyone has any custom rules that people play with for quar they own, considering how house-rule friendly the game is.

I wanted to just build a Lil special forces thing. I also have since painted the rim green on the bases.
I have the remains of the specialist box and command box to make a few regular infantry, a drummer, and other fun stuff. Im in love with these lil guys!
