I graduated back in May of 2024 with my Bachelor's in CS, and two years later, I still haven't been able to find a job with my degree. I stupidly never did any internships, but I've tried up upskill during my time outside of school doing online boot camps and projects.
For anyone that was in the same position as me, how did you end up getting out of it? I'm losing hope that I'll ever find anything related to CS, and all those years will have gone to waste, just to continue working retail like I have been since I started school.
Hi all,
Incoming transfer student here. I am having issues registering for the QCard. I get errors on the AMS.
I also cannot access the stu-mail new qmail. But I donât think thatâs an issue for now since the cuny email is now unified, I still receive all alerts.
Do you guys know who to contact and get fast help?
Dr. Elizabeth (Betsy) Field Hendrey will now be appointed as the Interim president of Queens College beginning August 1st, 2026, pending approval from CUNY Board of Trustees. How we feeling?
Iâve been to QC before with my friends and know the layout and stuff. I also know how CUNY system works from my previous CUNY college.
Is it mandatory for me to go? 10-6pm seems crazy lols.
A common complaint on here is how quiet and "commuter-heavy" the campus can feel, and how hard it is to make friends when everyone just goes straight home after class. I'm trying to change that by starting a completely casual soccer social club.
It's strictly 18+ and open to all skill levels. You donât need to be amazing at soccerâwhether you play every week or haven't touched a ball since middle school, it doesn't matter. The whole point is just to get active, take a break from studying, and actually build a community.
If you're down to play some relaxed pickup games and meet new people, drop a comment below or send me a DM! Iâm putting together a group chat so we can figure out schedules and the best nearby parks or campus spots to meet up.
Hey guys,
Iâm an incoming student at Queens College this fall and was wondering what Greek life is like over there.
How social are the fraternities? Is it more of a traditional frat culture or is it pretty chill and open? Do people actually hang out a lot, throw events, and have a good social scene, or is it more low-key?
Iâm also curious what the general reputation of Greek life is on campus. Is it worth joining? What do people usually get out of it?
And honestly, has anything funny, crazy, or memorable happened with Greek life in the last few years?
Just trying to get a feel for the campus before I move to NYC. Thanks.
Hey,
So I'm trying to get into my cunyfirst, but I'm running into this issue of verifying my identity through the Authenticator app. I'm not sure why this is now becoming an issue and I feel like it started when cuny logins merged from qc.cuny.edu to login.cuny.edu.
I thought the otp was the 6 digit code that gave you thirty seconds to punch in. It's not letting me in. Any help would be much appreciated!
Hey everyone,
Since it's the summer, I'm trying to get a casual soccer group together specifically for Queens College students and any other CUNY folks who want to play over the break. It's a great way to stay active and actually build a community here while classes are quiet.

I havenât used my outlook school account in a while but ever since the new email given at the end of the spring sem, itâs always signing out.
**I USE THE NEW EMAIL
Now I am signing in again and it says it was successful but I donât have access to it. Is this happening to anyone else??
So Iâm debating on transferring to Queens College from BMCC for Applied Mathematics / statistics and Computer Science. However, Iâm not sure how the education system is there and how well structured their departments are. Whatâs student life like? Are the professors and advisors good? Any specifics I should look out for? And are there good opportunities for internships?
Email From Frank Wu, He is retiring as QC President starting July 30, 2026. Who takes over now?
At the risk of being Captain Obvious, peruse the âSetting Up CUNY Login MFAâ article on support.qc.cuny.edu. It was where I found out I was supposed go download the Microsoft Authenticator App. Silly me. I just wanted to post this in case anyone else had any issues.
Are we allowed to post links here?

Edit #2 - Guys, if the âOKâ button isnât appearing on the âLogin Failedâ page when you enter your CUNY login credentials, just refresh the page. I had this issue like a dozen times lol
News about the budget cuts were released some time last week. It is actually looking a lot worse than what was previously said. So every single department is losing a big portion of their budget for the next fiscal year which starts in July and is working on changes to deal with their huge budget cut right now. There is no 1 department that is most affected by the budget cut. Every department and office on campus is losing a big portion of their budget regardless of the reasons why they shouldnât lose their budget. Roughly around 50%-80%.
Even academic departments that have majors, minors, and courses that are popular with students are getting a big cut with their departmental budget even with high enrollments in their program and courses. Academic support like the Learning Commons, Writing Center, FYE, Academic Advising, etc, are losing most of their budget even with the data that shows that a good amount of students comes to them every semester for help.
So if you expect a certain level of support from them when the next fall and spring semesters start. That is not happening. Donât know exactly what the changes are for every department, but changes will be happening in the fall, so prepare for that.
Frank Wu âretiringâ was because he caused so much trouble for the budget for Queens College leading Queens College to have a lot of budget deficits. Just know that the budget cuts will reduce services to students. Faculty and staff to get reduced hours to work, or they will get laid off because there isn't any money to pay the faculty and staff. Less course offerings because there isn't money to pay a faculty to teach it.
This is not going to be a great year at Queens College. Thank you so much, Frank Wu and your cabinet members, for your hard work.
I went to Schedule Builder to drop my MATH 120 class since I decided I would retake it in Fall 2026. However, when I was going to do so, I got a system message saying, "There are no terms available" (see screenshot attached). I was using my ASUS Laptop. I then used my Chromebook laptop but I got the same system message. I even tried using incognito mode and guest mode but still the same thing. How can I resolve this? June 28 is the last day I can drop my MATH 120 class with 100% refund.
Hi Guys, if you guys have a teaching degree from
Queens College, what parts of NY are you teaching? And is it necessary to have multiple certifications?
Hey yall, Iâm a new chemistry student at queens college. I have a question about CHEM 211: Chemical Thermodynamics and Kinetics, right now the only person that is currently teaching is a professor named: âCherice Evansâ. I saw her RMP page and got a gist of what I should expect, does anyone else know other lecturers that teach this course or should I cut my losses and stick with her?
