Kosa passed the House, remember to call your Senator.

Kosa is back, and it passed the house today. Now is not the time to panic, but it is time to call your Senator and remind them to vote No.

If you need help finding your Senators, I use the app “5 Calls.” You put in your zip code, and it gives you your Senators, the numbers to call, bills to ask about, and Scripts to follow, if you don't know what to say.

I'm just trying to spread the word.

The fight for LGBTQ liberation today is not separate from the fight against ICE and the rest of Trump's reactionary agenda

Iconic trans activist Marsha P. Johnson said, "No pride for some of us without liberation for all of us," correctly articulating the interconnected nature of our struggles as working-class people.
The fight for LGBTQ liberation today is not separate from the fight against ICE and the rest of Trump's reactionary agenda. Young people have seen this most clearly, with many young trans and queer people playing leading roles in anti-ICE student walkouts we saw earlier this year.
The whipping up of attacks on immigrants is part of the same divide-and-rule strategy used against queer people, and the best fightback is a united working-class struggle against all oppression. Swipe through to learn more, and find the full analysis at socialistalternative.org.

“Family values” is often nothing but a dogwhistle for homophobia

Following up on the title, it is not against family values or overall morality to oppose the stigmatization of homosexuality/same-sex attraction or to support its normalization in broader society. In fact, homophobia is one of the biggest threats to family cohesion, the welfare of minors, and societal stability.

It is important for the gay community to know how to counteract this hateful rhetoric.

I. On family cohesion.

  1. Statistically, a large percentage of families are likely to have a gay relative. A homophobic culture inevitably creates unnecessary distress, secrecy, and shame within families. Disowning or shunning a child is devastating to the WHOLE community.

  2. Mixed-orientation marriages, down-low (DL) culture, and similar situations are destructive to the gay spouse, their straight spouse and their children. The problem is homophobic cultures often prefer this facade and collateral damage over having families based on truth and trust.

II. On children and teens.

  1. The stigma against homosexuality and same-sex attraction promotes bullying and alienation. For example, very often straight kids would not befriend or defend their gay peers for fear of being perceived as gay. Also, it may happen that authority figures can’t or won’t discipline a child for homophobic behavior.

  2. Telling a gay child that they are choosing to be gay, that it’s a phase, or that it stems from trauma is a form of gaslighting and thus, abuse.

  3. Gay boys often feel shame, emasculation, resentment, confusion and guilt and have no trusted adults or resources to ask for help.

  4. It can increase risky coping behaviors like substance abuse or hooking up with adult men via apps.

III. On the societal level.

Homophobia encourages moral panics and witch hunts. It fosters fear and public anger instead of addressing real problems.

Also, it creates unnecessary anxiety among straight men about being perceived as gay and might encourage some to adopt toxic, misogynistic, or aggressive displays of masculinity.

The end.

TLDR, the gay agenda does not seek to undermine family values or morality, but to uphold them.

URGENT Why aren't all of you signing the petition to stop EHRC legalisation, which is essentially a ban on transgender people from society.

There's less than a week to stop this EHRC legalisation from going through. If/when it goes through the implications for trans people will be massive. The NHS will adopt the EHRC "guidance", meaning trans people will be put onto wards according to their sex. Prisons are already moving transwomen into male prisons and public toilets/spaces will be based on biological sex, not gender. This is not just hyperbole. This is happening now and it will only get worse.

Why aren't you all fighting to stop this? This group has a lot of activity. Sign the fucking petition and start helping.

‘You Can’t Spray The Gay Away’ Rural Pride’s response to homophobic vandalism.

Last week the small rural community of Winkler, Manitoba - arguably the most conservative community in Canada held its first ever Pride. The event was a tremendous success with 2,500 people in attendance! On Sunday their billboard between Winkler and Morden was vandalized. Their response - quickly turning the actual image of the vandalism into a symbol of defiance and pride! Something that was meant to be negative and turned it into something positive.

'From pathetic sex maniacs to a syndicate plotting to create 'transgender sleeper agents' - The fertile idiocy of attacks against LGBTQ people

In the past, we were portrayed as the pathetic victims of our alleged sexual desires. Now we are an evil syndicate whose wants (marriage, safety for trans kids in schools) are actually part of a larger, more nefarious goal of transforming America's children transgender by the clever use of mind control instituted by drag queens (or adult transgender men and women because the morons posting this junk don't know the difference) and schoolteachers. Supposedly this is the end of a slippery slope process which began with us being allowed to legally marry. Or, if you want to go further down the rabbit hole, the endgame would not be "creating transgender children."  The next step, according to the below tweet is becoming surrogate parents in a higher number and finally what looks like unleashing trans sleeper agents to kill Christians.
