Vector Field.

Quirk: Vector Field.

Quirk Type: Emitter.

What It Does: Vector Field generates a bubble around the user, surrounding their body and makes the user able to manipulate the vectors in that small bubble, which is just like a foot away from his actual body when it's activated. The vector field itself simply manipulates the speed and direction of whatever incoming object as long as the user actually touches it. If the user can't touch it… the vector field still slows it down, but the user might have to get out of the way before it actually hits them.

Drawbacks: The user feels dizzy, and often heavily so. So dizzy it often feels as if they're gonna puke up everything. And the user gets intense migraines and brain strain as they use this Quirk.

Limitations: The user can't manipulate Vectors outside of this small bubble, and it's really not much vectors.

I do hope this is a grounded concept for Vector Manipulation.

OFA Potential Applications

Before starting i need to make a few things clear. OFA stockpiles ENERGY that at it's base form manifests as STRENGTH. This energy is likely forcefully awakening Quirks bathed in it so that's why Quirks after receiving OFA get a boost in strength.

Base OFA:

Perfected Full Cowling: Full Cowling constantly leaks energy in the form of green lightning, while All Might simply buffs up. I think this is due to All Might's experience with OFA being able to use it without wasting any of it, so Izuku should be able to do the same. By keeping every bit of energy within him while using Full Cowling Izuku could pump up his muscles and use his strength without waste, he won't be as buff as All Might but there would be a big boost in strength due to sheer efficiency. This is further provem by All Might's fist releasing golden lightning when using the United States Of Smash.

Partial Share: As i said before every Quirk in OFA has been enhanced, but what about Yoichi's actual Quirk? Quirk Bestowal is a weak and invisible quirk that can pass itself along through DNA while this quirks proper use without anything else would be parasitic body hopping it changed when Power Stock was added now passing along the stockpile of energy too. Due to mixing with Power Stock as i stated earlier Quirk Bestowal could have awakened to be able to partially share OFA. Izuku could share any percentage of OFA with someone and awaken their quirk. OFA could be shared among multiple people as a last resort, those people could cultivate their own piece as much as possible and then pass that piece along, OFA then could be reunited in one person down the line. Or sharing small amounts to awaken quirks and then taking the stockpile back.

Energy Control: My first two points involved keeping the energy in or passing it along in pieces. This is controlling OFA outside of the body. It is possible of you simply look at the green lightning created by Full Cowling and Re Destro's Stress Output Burden. The user could theoratically fire off balls of OFAs Stockpile at their opponents. Personally dumping 100% of OFA into an attack like this and then blasting Shigaraki with it would be better than giving him OFA and killing him with the embers. Then Izuku could be his own hero with a empty OFA he would have to fill.

Overcharge: It is unknown if it would be possible in the slightest but Izuku could enhance his quirks further by deliberately pushing OFA Stockpile into them.

BlackWhip:

BlackGauntlent: Izuku could coat his arms to the elbow and then fill those gauntlents with 100% of OFA energy. With this he could get as close to 100% as possible without breaking his bones though the strength of the attack is probably lesser than a true 100% attack due to BlackGauntlent being kind of like balloons.

BlackSword: Izuku could have made a massive sword out of BlackWhip and then fill it with OFA energy. Izuku could use 45% Full Cowling without problem, he could push the remaining 55% percent into the sword to not waste that power and put it to use. Due to it being a sharp object BlackSword could potentially be as deadly as a 100% punch if not more deadly.

Smokescreen:

Cushions: Izuku could use BlackGauntlent and then fill with Smokescreen instead of OFA energy to create cushions for himself. It could even boost his ability to bounce around.

Danger Sense and Float doesn't really have enough room to grow, most things would be baseless assumptions.

Gearshift:

Statis Lock: Gearshift has something called Low Gear, and it slowly down things instead of speeding them up. This could have been used to create ramps by using Low Gear on debris mid air so there would be more places to land on, slow down air or Smokescreen to create shields or use it on the enemy to lock them in place.

Fa Jin:

Air Boost: Izuku launches himself through the air using whatever method, he then releases the kinetic energy accumulated by Fa Jin to speed up his movement.

Faux Explosion: Izuku uses BlackGauntlent and doesn't push OFA energy into it, then he begans to pop the BlackWhip on his palms to store up energy for Fa Jin and then releasing it to mimic Bakugo's Explosion.

Indestrucable

A ... mutant? Quirk where the user's body itself is indestructable. The user's bones cannot break, their organs will always be healthy, and they cannot be cut either. It's almost impossible to.kill the user.

Downside:

The user can still feel the pain of everything that happens.

They cannot bleed, but can still feel the pain of slashes and cuts.

With quirks like Shigi and overhaul, this will just send a heavy pain through their nerves system, but they cannot break the user's body.

u/variares132 — 3 days ago

Quirk: borrowed strength.

The user can borrow the quirk from other heroes. But he can give them back even without physical contact. He basically holds it in his body, but once he let's go, the original users have their quirks back.

- while using this power, the original user of the quirk is powerless.

- character that borrows the power of others will face the same backlashes as the original users, but they can build up a tolerance through training. (The user could handle zero gravity strain more than uraraka for example, or navel laser can be user normally.)

- the user will have compatibility with the quirk for a while.

-for mutants, they remain the same, but they cannot use their quirks freely while this is in effect.

- The original user has to give their consent. While using the quirk, they feel a pull. They can give it willingly, or decline by activating their quirk for a second.

As an awakening,

- the user could temporarily combine multiple quirks but even having them causes a major strain on his body and can even break it apart over long use depending on which quirks they borrow.

Drawbacks

- the user starts with each borrowed quirk as a beginner. So, they'd have to borrow them.often and learn how to use them, or learn quick.

- of there is no one to borrow a quirk from, the user is just a normal human.

- overusing multiple quirks at once can break the body down, and can even put a strain on the body for multiple days later.

-using multiple strong quirks gives that much more of a strain.

This quirk is more for a support type hero and can basocally continue the fight with a quirk that has already lost the fight. On 1 side, this could mean he's fighting a losing battle. On the other side, he's using the same power with a different perspective.

This quirk could also combine multiple quirks for a strong attack.

For example: usibg fierce wings and endeavor's hellflame. Covering himself in flames while using the speed from fierce wings as a flying fire tornado attack (this would cause a huge strain)

This could also be used to teach eri how to use her quirk, and also to figure out more uses of a quirk because everyone thinks differently.

In a way, this quirk is similar to monoma since he can only shine by borrowing the strength of others. This quirk could also buy heroes some time to recover while he's using their quirks, and giving them hints on how to beat the opponent.

(Free to use) Anti-Quirk

Quirk Name: Anti-Quirk

Description:

Anti-Quirk allows the user to generate anti-energy that can coat other objects. When someone comes into contact with this energy, their quirk temporarily stops working until the energy fully dissipates.

Usage:

This quirk can be extremely useful when combined with different types of support items. For example, if your OC is a sword fighter, they could use this Quirk to coat their sword with anti-energy, allowing them to cut opponents and disable their quirks upon contact. If your OC is not a violent person, they could instead coat a non-lethal weapon, such as a baseball bat, allowing them to safely neutralize enemies without causing serious harm.

For ranged fighters, the user could apply the anti-energy to various projectile-based tools, allowing them to throw or launch objects that can disable an opponent’s quirk from a distance. They could even apply the energy to capture equipment, such as a scarf, allowing them to restrain enemies while simultaneously eliminating their quirk abilities.

Weaknesses:

In order for this quirk to work effectively, the user needs to be relatively close to their target. However, this limitation can be overcome if the user applies their anti-energy to projectiles or other ranged tools.

Crystalline

Crystalline-

An Emitter-type Quirk that grants the user the ability to form crystals in any shape by pulling from and compressing existing elements present in the surrounding area. Through terrakinesis confined only to the user's created crystals, the user can form these crystals either in mid-air or on a stable, solid surface. These crystals range widely in color and composition/strength, which are dependent on the will of the user and available resources, and can be used for both offensive and defensive purposes.

Drawbacks: Since the appearance and composition/strength of the created crystals is entirely dependent on the user's mind, as is the creation of them outright, excessive use or creation of pure, durable crystals(such as quartz, diamond or lonsdaleite) will induce headaches. Additionally, as the creation draws from the moisture present in the user's skin, the user must moisturize their hands after prolonged use, or else the skin will begin to callous which will only worsen after each consecutive use without treatment.

(Free to use) Fox

Quirk Name: Fox

Quirk Type: Mutant

Quirk Range:Close-Range

Description:

Fox grants the user fox-like anatomy and abilities. The Quirk enhances the user's physical capabilities, granting them superhuman strength, speed, agility, heightened senses of smell and hearing, as well as retractable claws.

The Quirk also grants the user various functional fox-like traits, including yellow slit pupils, long shaggy orange hair, pointed ears, sharp fangs, claws, and a fox tail. In addition, the user possesses a powerful healing factor, allowing them to regenerate damaged or destroyed parts of their body with far greater efficiency than a normal human.

The user also has the ability to establish an empathetic and telepathic connection with foxes, allowing them to influence and command any species of vulpes. The user can utilize this ability by summoning a skulk of foxes to assist them in combat or overwhelm their opponents. The user's perception can also extend through the foxes they are connected with, allowing them to mentally receive the sights and senses of their fox companions. This ability enables the user to greatly expand their surveillance range, using foxes as scouts to gather information and monitor their surroundings.

(Free to use)Champion

Quirk Name:Champion

Description:

Champion allows the user to analyze an opponent's movements with remarkable ease, allowing them to instantly predict their next actions. By observing body language, stance, muscle tension, and patterns of behavior, the user can anticipate attacks, evasive maneuvers, and other movements before they occur. This grants them exceptional combat awareness and reaction speed, enabling them to respond with precision, avoid incoming attacks, and exploit openings in an opponent's defenses. The ability is especially effective during prolonged engagements, as the user can quickly adapt to an opponent's fighting style and stay one step ahead throughout the battle

Python

Mutation

Gives the user a series of computer keys on their forearms.

By pressing keys that correspond to different commands, the user can program their body to move in advance. By pressing the enter key for example, they can make themselves jump.

They also decide the delay between pressing the key and the action actually happening, so they can press multiple keys then wait however long and activate them on a dime, causing the actions to happen simultaneously.

With some training and trial and error, the user could learn to program shortcuts to move at superspeed (by stacking multiple bodily actions at the same time) or perform physics-defying parkour like double jumps midair or swinging their legs despite having no leverage.

Drawbacks

Contradictory commands, like swinging your legs forward and swinging your leg backwards, can end poorly. Best case scenario the commands cancel each other out, but stacking these commands can risk your limbs being pulled in different directions which can range from painful to severe injuries.

The keys must also be physically pressed which can be taken advantage of by restraining their arms or simply cutting off their hands.

I tried my hand at making a transformation quirk. How did I do?

Quirk (yeti):

This quirk grants the user the ability to transform into a yeti like appearance. They grow white fur in spots around their body, they grow to be 8ft tall, their skin turns blue, and they sprout two blue horns on their forehead.

The transformation also greatly lowers their body temperature. A neat effect of this is they can exhale blasts of frost from their mouth.

Thunderbird

Thunderbird-

A Transformation-type Quirk that grants the user the ability to shift into a massive bird of prey with limited electrokinetic powers. The wing skeletal structure of the avian form is akin to Wyverns or Pterosaurs, wherein three of the five fingers are retained, namely the thumb, index and middle fingers; the ring and pinky fingers become the two elongated wing bones. In the user's base form, they retain the exceptionally sharp vision associated with birds of prey and small feather-like formations are present in their hair. The user, in their avian form, can also channel their electrokinesis through their talons and beak as a contact weapon in the case of the talons or a devastating beam in the case of the beak.

Drawbacks: After a prolonged period of time in their avian form, the user will slowly begin regressing into a more animalistic state of mind, gradually losing their ability to speak alongside other aspects that make the user human, until they are rendered 'feral'. In this state, it is recommended to only allow loved ones, close friends, or an individual with an animal communicative Quirk to approach the user and bring them out of the feral state, though it should be noted that the user is still remarkably intelligent in this state. Additionally, the electrokinetic aspect of the user's Quirk is not infinite and must be replenished via consumption of mineral rich foods(such as sodium and electrolytes) or artificial means(such as power lines or generators).

Help me with this quirk idea please!

Hello! I’m new to writing fics but I have buckets of ideas for them so I started writing recently.
I have this fic idea where Izuku jumps off the roof but lands “softly” to put it.

Quirk name:TBD
Quirk type: mutant hybrid maybe?
Quirk: The user is able to fall/jump from an undetermined height (because how does one ethically test that?) and land softly/unharmed on their feet. Other abilities include slight speed/jump enhancements, freedom of movement, and muted steps.
Passive ability: a righting reflex in which his body will naturally right itself before landing.
His extra toe joint wasn’t actually a sign of quirkless but a slight mutation giving him this quirk.

The help I need here is obviously name ideas, how I would classify the quirk type, and would Aizawa be able to erase any aspects of this quirk? I’m also happy for ways to format this right when putting it into actual story use but I can also just research that better. Please feel free to point out anything about this quirk you have opinions on!

(Free to use) Liquid Metal

Quirk Name:Liquid Metal

Description:

The user possesses the ability to create, shape, and manipulate metal in a variety of ways, including transforming part or all of their body into metal and controlling it freely. They can alter the metal’s shape, density, hardness, size, or even liquefy it at will. The user is also capable of regenerating from nearly any injury, provided that some portion of their metal body remains intact, though faster regeneration consumes significantly more energy. Additionally, they can form weapons, armor, tools directly from their body, as well as reshape their limbs into various forms for both offensive and defensive combat.

How good would this be?

So, i was randomly scrolling the internet, and saw a post of Naruto, and started thinking...

How well would minato's flying raijin do as a quirk in mha?

The user has to put a mark on people or objects so he/she can teleport around. This cpuld be useful, but i also feel like it's a little bit like Mirio's power, he has to anticipate movements to make it work properly, but do you guys think that it could be a good quirk?

For example

The user has to mark objects, places or people. He can put a temporary mark or a permanent one. He can sense these marks. The permanent ones will always be with him. The temporary ones have a range around them.

The permanent one would drain more of his energy than a permanent one, a temporary one could go from lasting 1 hour to 1 full day. The temporary mark also disappears if the user is too far away.

This could work well for a stealth hero, or a support hero, but can be used for a main hero. With training, the user could teleport away with innocent civilians, or kidnapped people. But they could also teleport heroes to the scene by grabbing on to them and teleporting to a permanent mark.

This quirk combined with stealth teaining and martial arts training to learn how to fight could make this really all round for a hero.

Can i have some opinions or feedback on this? I could be looking at this completely wrong.

Quirk Concept: Lion Tamer

Name: Lion Tamer

Description: This emitter type Quirk allows the user to give animals the ability to think and speak like human being. This intelligence allows only occurs when the user has formed a strong bond with this animal over a long period of time. The period of time varies by the connection with the animal. A dog or horse will warm up to the user faster than a snake or Spider.

What would be a cool name for this quirk?

This quirk allows the user to actively "reapply' any quirk-based effect upon their body that they have previously experienced.

The way it works is that once the user is affected by a quirk that induces some kind of esoteric effect besides damage, their body automatically "downloads" the data from the quirk and allows it to be reused at a later date.

Meaning if they get hit by Uraraka's quirk, they can reapply that effect on their body and use it to float or boost their jumps.

Or alternatively, they can reapply Recovery Girl's healing quirk on their body to recover from any injury.

They can also exercise a degree of control over hostile quirks as well, for example:

If they get affected by Shigaraki's Decay, they can later use it to remove hostile growths caused by another quirk without injuring their body.

Or if they get hit by a puppeteering quirk and choose to later reapply it, they can decide which ally can control their body.

This quirk does have some weaknesses as:

A) the user can only store 4 effects.

B) because their body automatically downloads the newest recent effect, the last effect is immediately removed.

C) quirks that have multiple different effects result in only the specific effect that was used to be captured on them.

(So if a quirk can induce various emotional reactions on a target, only the emotion applied on them gets stored).

D) once a user has used an effect three times, they lose the effect and need to reacquire it in order to use it.

(P.S: I don't want to call my quirk "Reapply")

Presenting the Jinkō!

An adjacent to the Nomu project headed by an old colleague of Dr. Garaki. Instead of utilizing cadavers, a Jinkō is artificially grown as a blank, Quirkless humanoid before it is then supplanted with multiple quirks, many of which have been selected to complement each other and have the potential to become one quirk.

Every Jinkō is outfitted with an inhibitor chip at the base of the skull to ensure full obedience and control, though it is worth noting these inhibitor chips can be damaged, allowing the Jinkō to think for itself.

(Just a random idea I had one day and wanted to flesh out; I know it's pretty much useless and more time consuming than making a Nomu but oh well-)

The Alter

Quirk: Alter

Type: Emitter/Accumulation (Unclear on which category, possibly a combination of both types)

Description: The user is able to take quirks from others by pulling on their quirk energy, similar to All For One, yet is unable to use said quirks. The user can enter a pocket dimension only they have access to. Said pocket dimension contains a being who can communicate with the user. It is believed this being who appears as a giant black orb is the Alter Quirk itself, meaning Alter is a sentient quirk. Within the pocket dimension the user can break the obtained quirk down into its core components and can alter how the quirk works and operates. The Alter itself provides feedback and information on the user's work. Once done altering, the user can return the now modified quirk to the original user.

Abilities: Can take and modify quirks to modify and make them more/less efficient than they already were. Creates a sentient being who can only communicate with their user.

Drawbacks: Pulling in too many quirks can lead to severe headaches while remaining in the pocket dimension for extreme amounts of time can cause nausea and other forms of sickness.

Notes: It is unclear as to why Alter is sentient, as unlike other sentient quirks (example: Dark Shadow) its sentience serves no purpose since the user knows everything about the quirk upon obtaining it. While the user has full control over Alter, the quirk can still think for itself and observe with its own thoughts. It is also believed that due to the complexity of Alter, All For One cannot take the quirk for itself as Alter could be far too complex for A.F.O. to handle.
