The first thing I did was install SteamOS, but I ran into an issue where the built-in speakers weren’t detected, so there was no sound. I couldn’t find a fix, so I had to go back to Windows 11.
So be careful for now — I’d recommend waiting for a few updates before making the switch.
It started with an XAX, Bulwark dock, and a tv on my dresser....got bored with the TV and dresser setup. This is just in 6 months and I have more improvements for the foxhole. Looking at beefy mini-PC's with OcuLink now. Need a second monitor for so many reasons now, looks empty. I have been a console gamer up until 6 months ago when I got my XAX. It won't stop! Not sure I want it to.
This is still the best deal in the micro express department from Walmart. This is my third one and no complaints or failures. This one is going into the Xbox Ally X20 on Thursday
Only lost 19 percent of battery during this 20 minute race. I purposely start from the back and a Got 2 minute penalty from some kid who braked early af then raged quit when I slowed down for nothing. I’ve bought so many games to play offline too. I haven’t had time for anything and I don’t want it to affect my sleeping schedule… I’ve haven’t been this excited about gaming since verdansk season one Halloween night. God bless guys and gals. Ive done a little bit of research but not a ton, and I wanted to know if anyone on here has docked there ally x with a E GPU and played it as there living room pc like a steam machine?
I find myself a lot just wanting to play my pc on a big tv in the living room and have started to looking into this more and if it’s actually a good viable option and if so whats a good gpu to get as well as a dock.
Hi guys, I got my ROG Ally X Z1E today, I want to ask something about the software, we all know about the advantages of FSE and SteamOS, so I want the hear the problem from you guys, what is the actual problem having those two, can you guys enlighten me up, because I very like steam os, but sometimes I fell like just wanna stay windows because this is my first handhled, thank you
Hey. I went from a steam deck oled to the Xbox Rog Ally X and everything is working fine. But Xemu is very slow on this device.
Is there any workaround or is this a problem with the Ryzon AI Z2 Extreme?
Shadps4 V0.19.0 running on Linux Anatase, on 15w.
Usually hovering around 50-60fps with Anatase's framegen, with occasional dips to 30 and cutscenes running at my frame cap; 90fps.
Dips seem to go away with it plugged in though.
I haven't done playthroughs yet, but the early parts of the game look promising.
Had to download the latest version of Shadps4 from github and point the UI to it for testing. Then set steam up to bypass the game selection menu in the collection for 2 and 3, because game mode doesn't handle that selection. But yeah, seems to work great!
Picked up a Xbox ally x first thing I did was a 2tb m.2 and removed the Ai stuff
Hi, so my son just got a Xbox Ally and I haven't really ever looked into them before. Can anyone help out with suggestions on what headset I should get him for his Birthday? I'd prefer something under £100, wireless with a mic.
I've read some people saying you need a headset with a USB C Dongle as the Bluetooth can be a bit funny sometimes. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
