What NTS stations do you like or suggest? And any stations that play unique music.

RadioGarden is big for me and I've used it at work for years, and I had some favorite songs from an NTS station but I lost it and cannot remember what it is. Looking for any suggestions for that and anything that plays good unique music I can discover.

I remember specifically I discovered Anz Unravel In the Zone song on an NTS station years ago through radiogarden and listen to that song a lot

Does anyone else use this app for discovery and then listen to stations within Apple Music?

I kind of like having all my music listening in one app. I only recently discovered Radio Garden and think it's so cool for finding new stuff, but I'm trying to decide on where I should actually listen.

Classic radio soaps.

Been listening to ABN old time, but interested in other classic drama stories stations. Open minded to anything, looking for crime drama, western drama, sci fi drama, horror drama, romance drama, army drama, mystery drama, fantasy drama, drama drama and everything else related.

I'm listening to Pyongyang FM right now...

...and it's exactly what I expected it to be 🤣

On another note, why are so many foreign stations broadcasting in English? Not just western pop music, the presenters are speaking English too.

Any super oldies stations with commercials?

‘30s ‘40s ‘50s around that time. Even gimmick stations like in fallout games. I like a little break in between songs with people trying to sell me something I don’t want.

Japan?

What’s with the lack of stations from Japan? I expected to find a lot of interesting things there and was shocked at the short list of stations even in Tokyo.

Roast Me. (and my radio station)

Hello Radio Community,
I’m looking for some honest criticism/feedback for my little online radio station. I think the production and delivery sounds decent. The music selection is diverse, yet effective for my target audience, (a lake community) but I can’t seem to attract (and keep) a lot of listeners. Can someone with some experience give it a listen and tell me what I may be doing wrong? I’m open to any and all suggestions. Thanks in advance. My station is called Pirate Radio 121. The free apps are available in the app stores and here is the website:

Looking for Blues traditional radio programs accessible online

I am looking for some Blues traditional radio programs that I can access online. I have my own playlists on Spotify and YouTube Music as well as BB King's Bluesville on SiriusXM. On Sundays I listen to Blues Programming all day on Houston KPFT through their app. I recently learned about the RadioGarden app.

Any new or unique stations for my return to Radio Garden?

Hi everyone,

Been a while since I made a post on here because over the past few months I have been using Radio Garden on and off, but from today, I am ready to use it more regularly again.

I have a few stations I want to dive back into including Spinning Seal FM from Sweden, Shirley & Spinoza Radio from China, 8 Ball Radio from USA and Mechanical Music Radio.

I am interested in Experimental, Indie, Classical, World Music, Asian Pop and Dance/Electronic, so any suggestions for stations I could check out in those genres would be great, especially as I haven’t discovered a lot of Classical stations on it.

I love the platform and being able to use it via a VPN in the UK has made it much better than the restricted UK-only access without one.

If there are any other stations people can recommend to me based on Ambient, Nature Sounds & Chillout, that would be grand too. Radio Aporee (I think that’s how it’s spelt) and Ambi Nature Radio I am aware of, along with Skylab Radio in the UK and Skylab Radio in Australia, which isn’t Chillout focused like in the UK but haven’t discovered those 2 Skylab Radio stations on Radio Garden yet but they might be there. I quite like Skylab Radio and also Smooth Chill at times in the UK.

I want to see how much of the catalogue on Radio Garden I can listen to over the last few months on 2026.

I have discovered a number of stations already since I first started using it in May 2025, but now I want to use it as part of my every day life again.

1970s Top-40 style radio

Are there any stations that try to re-create the vibe of Musicradio, with entertaining DJ personalities like those I grew up with listening to on WLS Chicago? They had great senses of humor and really engaged with their listeners. If you listened during the 70s and early 80s, you know what I'm trying to describe. Thanks

Radio stops if not actually on the screen

Sorry if this has been covered before, I can only find references to the app and the search function on Reddit is... well, it's there.

I use Firefox to open radio streams in the browser. Worked fine on my Galaxy A53 for years, great service, but I've upgraded to an A57 and now, unless the site is actively on my screen, after about thirty seconds the audio stops. Even if I just move to another browser tab, swipe back and it's stopped itself.

I've been through a few posts about similar but can't seem to find a solution. Everything up to date, have cleared cookies/cache, other streaming radio sites work fine - radio.garden is the only site that seems to do this, so any suggestions or advice very much appreciated.

Pre-thanks and good vibes if anyone knows a fix, ta

Horrorcore Radio Live

Does anyone remember the Radio Station Horrorcore Radio Live? It was on TuneinRadio back in the day and it was really good but unfortunately it went off and disappeared without a trace, does anyone know what happened to it? Or does anyone know a good Horrorcore Radio Station at all? Thanks

Is this better for listening to radio than Apple Music?

I just discovered this app, but I also pay for Apple Music and noticed a lot of the stations are also available to stream on Apple Music. Is this app better for listening to radio?

Radios recommendation for my train trip to Istanbul

Hello,

I'm doing a trip in a few days by train going through the Danube and finishing in Istanbul.

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for radio stations from the following cities and/or countries that have a sort of unique vibe that fit that specific city/country but that is not just stereotypical folk music that only foreigners listen to and no locals listen to.

Hope I explained myself, I'm honestly also looking for great radio stations recommendations in general for the long train hours.

This is the trip

Genova --> Koper

Koper --> Budapest

Budapest --> Bucharest

Bucharest --> Veliko Tarnovo (or any middle stations between Bucharest and Istanbul, we haven't decided yet)

Veliko Tarnovo --> Istanbul
