Btech passput (General) -Need roadmap and names of govt exam

Hey everyone,

I’m a recent B.Tech graduate in Computer Science (2026), General category. I’m exploring government exams where the syllabus overlaps with my background (CSE subjects, reasoning, aptitude) and feels similar to SSC‑type exams.

I actually used AI to draft this post so it’s structured, but the questions are genuine:

Which exams should I target that fit my profile?

What’s the right prep roadmap (subjects, timeline, practice strategy)?

Which resources/videos/teachers did you follow that really helped?

Any tips from those who’ve cleared these exams — what worked best for you?

I don’t want to waste time bouncing between random PDFs and channels. If you’ve been through this, please share your path or point me to solid resources.

Thanks a ton!

For bigginers in railway or ssc preparation

I have told so many people who started the preparation for railway or any other exam take proper cource of any ligit app after doing some research( also take advice form the person who is serving in the field don't go for the asperient who is struggling because I had gone through it after getting out of track because of worng recommendation)

  1. don't take any kind of classes form youtube you can not get the perfect class because of the waste material is circulation through youtube only if you are good in luck you can get it. I had wasted 1 year on YouTube searching for good classes I got them after researching for one year🥲.

  2. Main part go talk with the person who is serving the field which you have certificate, diploma, degree because he is serving he does not care you get the seat or not go with his advice (but understand his intentions read his thoughts like is he giving the legit advice or not). Make notes of things he is saying don't flatter to ask speak slow or tell him to wait if he rushes the conversation. Found or search for him as such time it takes because little advice is better than worng advice. (Go for your course person)

  1. if you are a bigginer go take science magnet nirman cource (only 1300) for maths, reasoning, science(best in field), gk(don't know haven't studied form him ). I am not criticizing the other teachers. For bigginers like me study form his youtube channel he has his playlist for free for d group (also you have to search for them like maths, reasoning and science playlists because there are only video line wise not playlist) if you want to test or check the level of teaching .

4)don't waste time go for it. I have heard a line from a wrestler from my local - when a wrestler skips one time exercise he just get behind 1 week and if he skips his 2 days he get behind 1 month time. And it's not only for wrestling it's also for study.

( If there is some spelling of grammer mistake just compromise with it I am not a typing guy just here for giving you advice)

Accidentally entered wrong name in RRB JE Create Account. Can it be corrected?

I am applying for the current RRB JE recruitment and made a mistake in my Create Account / Registration Details.

My Matriculation (10th) certificate has my name in this format:

SURNAME – GIVEN NAME – MIDDLE NAME

Initially, I entered my name in the normal order. Later, I noticed that the RRB application asks for the Full Name as recorded in the Matriculation certificate, so I tried to change it to match the certificate.

Unfortunately, while changing it, I accidentally entered:

SURNAME – GIVEN NAME – SURNAME

instead of:

SURNAME – GIVEN NAME – MIDDLE NAME

The name is now locked at the registration/account level, and I cannot change it again. The portal gives a warning that the name cannot be changed after modification.

I have not submitted the RRB JE application yet.

This is not a legal name change. It is simply a typing mistake made while trying to enter my name in the same order as my 10th certificate.

I have contacted the RRB helpdesk regarding this issue.

I would like to know from anyone who has faced a similar situation:

  1. Can RRB helpdesk reset/correct the Create Account/Registration-level name?
  2. Does the RRB modification window allow correction of the Create Account name, or only application details?
  3. If RRB does not correct it, is it safe to submit the application and explain the mistake during Document Verification?
  4. Would an affidavit explaining the accidental data-entry error be accepted at DV, or is some other procedure required?
  5. Has anyone successfully corrected a similar RRB registration name mistake?

I am particularly looking for answers from candidates who have actually faced this issue with RRB, rather than general advice.

Thanks in advance.

Preparing early for NTPC JAA

Hello everyone,❤️

I’m from Kolkata, West Bengal. I’m 21 years old and currently in my 2nd year, pursuing a BA in English Honours from NSOU through distance mode. I chose distance learning because of some personal issues during college admission time.

My university exams are at the end of December. But my main focus right now is the Railway NTPC exam.

I’m planning to appear for NTPC after my graduation, which will be around mid-2028. That’s why I’ve started my preparation now. The reason is, I’m extremely weak in Maths. My basics are almost zero. I’ve also never studied Reasoning or Science before. So it’s going to take me a lot of time to learn everything and complete the syllabus.

I also need help with how to manage my college studies. I just want to pass and get my graduation degree. My main priority is NTPC.

Do you think starting now is the right decision for me, since I have to learn everything from scratch?

Right now I’m studying only from YouTube. After graduation, I plan to join Adda247’s Bande Bharat course to strengthen my preparation and adjust according to the latest exam pattern and weightage.

I’ve watched a lot of strategy videos on YouTube where teachers suggest different ways to clear each subject. But the method that works best for me is this:

For example, if I’m studying Biology, I first watch a video by Neeraj Sir, make notes simultaneously, then revise those notes, and finally solve PYQs on that topic.

Is this a good approach for me?

Cracking this exam is really important for me. My goal post is JAA - Junior Accounts Assistant.
