Extra Money Charged

So when a ride ends, the rapido of the rider says that " pay only the sum shown on the app/qr, extra amount will be added to the Rider's account".

But apparently, the rider i got, took a wrong route, which costed him extra 10 min, he then demanded extra 50 rupees , and was being very aggressive, he asked my mom to pay the whole sum on his personal gpay, rather than the amount shown on the app. My mom was alone, hence had to agree, is this right? Or shall she not have paid him extra according to the rules? Like we have to pay the amount shown on the app right?

Rapido bike drivers drive like it's their last ride

Why do the bike riders from Rapido specifically drive like it's their last ride 😭.

I was in one today going from Hitech City to Chandanagar.

First of all he came on the opposite side of the road which had the maximum traffic. What's the point of selecting the pickup location if you are not gonna arrive at it. Then his bike was so old that it needed extra power to accelerate. Then comes his stunt to go from small gaps in between the cars. One auto almost hit us, thank God he stopped on time leaving only inches separation.

I tried to tell him multiple times to go slow and calm down, he started telling me his driving experience (idc 😑) and then how Hydrabad was before the AP and Telangana seperation.. like bro idc, just drive calmly..

I know we can't change the way people drive but thanks for reading this rant.

I am thinking of taking the cityflo bus to commute to my office. I love my precious life 🙏.

The Hidden Struggle of a Rapido Rider

Note my English is not perfect, I used Gemini to help fix my grammar and make my story clear.

When will people understand others' pain? I am a part-time Rapido rider in Mumbai, and you know the traffic in Mumbai—especially in Lalbaug, Parel, and Dadar.
I got an order for ₹50 for 4km pickup 2km the app showed a pickup of 700m when the order arrived. I accepted the order, reached the pickup point, and called the customer. They didn't pick up. I called again, and the customer said, "Wait 2 minutes, I'm coming," then cut the call. I waited almost 15 minutes because continuous calling is annoying. After waiting 15 minutes, I tried calling again, but the call was cut. Then I tried one more time, and the phone was switched off.
In this situation, if I cancel the order, I get nothing. If the customer cancels, I get ₹15 as a cancellation fee, but some customers never cancel. I successfully wasted my time, my petrol, and also the upcoming orders. I am doing this part-time, and sometimes it feels very frustrating.
At night, sometimes I get orders from people who are drunk or something similar. If we deny the order or cancel, we don't get anything. There is no support from Rapido at night; you can't call them for help.
As for the police, I am a safe rider, but sometimes I make mistakes when there is no vehicle passing and I jump a signal. Everyone knows how Mumbai’s signals and signboards are messed up; there is no proper way to understand them. The traffic police are always watching from corners—not to guide you or reduce traffic, but always the first to take a fine or a bribe from you.
If they can't provide proper roads, then why are they taking fines? Every patch and speed breaker on the road feels like a bike going over a mountain. Every country is going forward towards better roads, but ours is going backward. Also, nowadays, the Rapido ban is just giving them a chance to extract more from us. Still i am not added Idiot customers & increased petrol prices rant

Thanks for reading my feelings/story if someone change from this i will be more then happy
