What if Australia's Cutest Pet was a Liquid Rat?

My rat Icy Pole is the only fancy rat left in the RSPCA Cutest Pet award competition (These are my most liquidy photos of her😂)! The RSPCA is a registered charity that supports the humane treatment of animals so all votes go towards an amazing cause. Icy's family (and the amazing Reddit community) has been rallying for her in this competition in the hopes of dismantling stigma surrounding fancy rats and owning them as pets by asking the question "What if Australia's cutest pet was crowned a Fancy Rat?"
So far Icy is coming in 3rd place!!🎉
The RSPCA Cutest pet award competition ends on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 9:00 PM AEST. So we’re not quite at the end just yet. For those who wish to follow Icy’s journey, single free votes are allowed daily up until the competition concludes. All votes as well are currently doubled! Competitors are ranked in tiers based on vote numbers with the highest entrant at this stage having around somewhere under 5,000 votes, Icy’s exact vote count is 2,700 at the time of this post - A challenge but not impossible!
