Can Ravnica be a fantasy Night City?

Hello, everbody.

I'm searching for a setting to DM, that is familiar to Night City from the Cyberpunk series.

What I mean is, what I love about Night City and the stories from there is, there is a huge city with lots of lots of wars.

Companies fighting against companies fighting against gangs fighting against privat armys fighting against police against mercenary and somewhere inbetween is a single mother that get bombed on the way from her 12h shift to home and there her child only get the visit from the police.
And despite the many dramatic individual stories, in the grand scheme of things, it’s like a child burning ants with a magnifying glass.
Into that hell i want to put my players. Either as mercenaries, working for companies. Maybe able to make career there or get betrayed. Or as gang members that fight against others.

That's the kind of stories (with varying degrees of brutality) i want to tell.
The setting, whether it’s cyberpunk or fantasy/steampunk, is secondary here. I can imagine myself in either one.
My question is simply to find out whether stories like that would be possible in Ravnica before I dive down the rabbit hole and delve into the lore and source material.

A bit I read about Ravnica and its guild setting. Maybe they can be the counterpart of the corporates in Night City. But not sure if something like gangs or scavengers do fit into that city

Simic Magic Items

Hello I was wondering if anyone could help me come up with some ideas for some simic magic items. The main thing I was thinking about doing was making vials of DNA that contain the mutagins and DNA of all the simic monsters, or they contain the building blocks for those monsters. I mostly want to do this, so I have a villain that steals these vials (kinda like Jurassic Park) and uses them to make their own krasises. I feel like this could be a fun way to make simic monsters alongside what is already in the book, along with giving players a way to make their own monsters for them to use. I also wanted to do some underwater stories in the zonots and wanted to make some items they could find down there. Do y'all have any other fun simic items I could put in the game?

Need help with a current campaign

I have been slamming my head into a brick wall trying to come up with something that will tie seemingly unrelated plot threads together in the campaign I am DMing, and I would love some help. (Azi, Farlos, Drek, and Drak, STOP READING!)

To set the stage: I have four players, all at level 2, and this is more of a mystery and political intrigue type story. There has been one combat out of about 5 sessions, and it was quite small. To make a long story short, one player is involved in the Selesnya Conclave and just got a new boss whom they suspect to be a vampire (spoiler, they are), another player was recently fired from the Izzet League and has taken up new employment working with a scientist trying to crack time travel, and a third player is a Boros Soldier that is actually a Dimir sleeper agent, though they don't know that yet.

I am trying to connect these three threads to each other. What I have so far is that Lazav, the Dimir guildmaster, is the one funding the scientist's time travel research with money from the Orzhov Church, the scientist ended up figuring it out and traveled forward in time bringing the vampire back with him, but I don't know how this vampire can connect to the Dimir. It's a little lame to just say "They're working for Lazav", I want there to be some sort of Orzhov Church connection. So basically my question is twofold: Why would a vampire from the Orzhov Church be undercover in the Selesnya Conclave; and why would the Orzhov Church and the Dimir be teaming up to discover the secrets of time travel? Bonus question: why would they send this vampire back in time to infiltrate the Selesnya Conclave?

I've been stuck for a week trying to figure out something interesting. I backed myself into a corner by not having an ending in mind and pieced the plot together as my players explored the clues that I had given them, but now I am stuck. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What is the biggest McGuffin in Ravnica?

So I’m planning a campaign that will involve getting a powerful object from Ravnica. My knowledge of the setting is moderate at best, so I figured I’d post on here and pick the brains of those more knowledgeable.

What is the biggest McGuffin of Ravnica? I need to send the party in to pick up a very powerful artifact to help with their quest. I could just make something up but I feel it’d be more fun if it was something from the lore that all the guilds would want to have or keep secret. Something big.

Anyone have any ideas?
