I need 10 single people to test a dating app that doesn't start with dating

Hey everyone :)

I’m building something called IXIA, and I’m at the point where I need real humans to tell me whether the core idea actually works.

I got tired of dating apps asking people to reduce themselves to a profile, a few prompts, some filters and photos — and then expecting them to make meaningful decisions about each other.

So IXIA starts differently.

You talk to it.

It gets to know you through conversation, helps surface things about how you connect and what actually matters to you in relationships, and builds its understanding from there.

Eventually, that understanding can be used for compatibility — but right now I’m testing something more fundamental:

Does it actually feel like it understands you?

I’m looking for around 10 single people who are willing to go through the experience and give me brutally honest feedback.

I especially want to know:

  • Did you want to keep talking to it?
  • Did anything it understood about you feel genuinely accurate?
  • Did it surface something you hadn't explicitly told it?
  • Was anything confusing, annoying, creepy or just wrong?
  • Most importantly: after trying it, do you understand why you would ever want to come back?

Please don't be nice because I built it. 😅 If the answer is “I don't get the point,” I genuinely want to hear that.

It's an early product, so bugs are also very possible. A Reddit user found a pretty serious one yesterday, which was honestly incredibly useful.IXIA

If you test it, I'd love your feedback here or by DM.

I am in love with you guys♡

🏫 Co-Director of a Schoolhouse

I spent my summer break coding and building an app on my computer for my Schoolhouse. I easily spent 5-6 hours every morning, starting at 4am – coffee, coding with my kitty 😽♥︎

(Simultaneously, I was designing and developing K-3rd Grade Ready Math curriculum that I know will cause ripples in the Universe✨️ but that's for a diff community...lol)

🍏Apple Parents

Practically all of my parents are Apple Users 🍏, so for a week, I experienced heavy doubt and devastation after completely finishing the app > then reading that I needed 12 Android Testers for 14 days as a requirement to make my app public on Google Play Store.

While Apple is taking over 2 weeks to review the iOS version of my app, I was suggested Reddit for testers....

With my app being for a school, I was terrified of asking strangers to download it - (I honestly just want people to download and keep on the device, the bare minimum requirement) because I had done an incredible amount of testing and bug fixes that I was only left with this testing requirement.

I also wanted my testers to be the parents of my school, but they are majority 🍏's 😭

❤️You guys...

Reddit Community, you guys have completely lifted my spirits and helped me back into a vibration of fearlessness and faith❤️

>>>Sharing My Experience<<<

The first day I posted, I recieved nothing but errors on my links and an inability for others to download my app 😅

Through tears, I researched, fixed, deleted posts, reuploaded posts then ...nothing. Freaking crickets 🦗🦗🦗

No one commented...

Feeling the urgency of wanting my app to be ready for the school year, (Starting September 8th) I realized I needed to do action.

I started going through the list of posts and adding myself to users Google Groups, downloading their app, then when I ask for a response? ......nothing 😮‍💨

I got burned quite a lot, with people claiming *test for test* and not hearing back 🔥 (but I'm still keeping their apps...I choose not to be petty♡)

I changed my tactic 🧯 I would add myself to users' Google Groups, then send a DM:

*URL of the reddit post*

(so I can refer back to their post, immediately)

"I added myself to your Google Group...can you send a screenshot of my app downloaded...I'll download your app..."

Damn it Google 📱

I realized a really stupid design flaw of Google Play Store – You can't freaking see how many users have actually downloaded your app! So, that's why I started asking for a screenshot of my app downloaded, then I mark them in my notes as a *tester who officially has it on their device*

Fear & Doubt

The only doubt and fear I hold now is whether or not they keep my app on their device. ALSO, the 14 day Clock ⏰️ actually starts when 12 testers have officially downloaded the app. Which means, the clock starts after the 12th download 🫠

I have told the people who test for test that I will keep their app until September to ensure they, too pass the requirement clock♡

Beautiful Reviews✨️

After people started sending back screenshots of my app downloaded, I wanted to return a beautiful review that was just a little extra work on my end.

Because I'm unable to send videos on some posts or DMs, I just started making screen recordings of their app, from first opening on Google Play and narrating my experience, compliments, and design suggestions♡

Their gratitude in their responses was so uplifting, I decided to do that for anyone who needed test for test♥︎

Today is only Day 3 ~

I just wanted to share my admiration for these communities and wish us all genuine Success and Universal Blessings✨️

I have gotten plenty of messages from users claiming to give app reviews/downloads for money💰 .....

I respect the hustle, but due to finances, I am choosing to rely on the Reddit Communities and practice my faith in humanity 🙏🏻

Still Doing Test for Test♡

If you need an app tested, comment here or DM me♡

Google Group:

(Wait ~3 minutes for Google to recognize your account as a *tester* then download)

Closed test:

I freaking adore you guys♥︎

Thank you for helping me across the finish line ❤️
