yay…Murica…whoo...hoo…yaaaaaaaay...

sorry about your long gas lines tomorrow, Philly. be careful out there!

for the rest of us peasants: who the fuck is buying this bullshit?

update: these stations are AI generated. this doesn’t exist.

>The "Freedom Fuel Network" referenced in Donald Trump's post does not actually exist. This post is part of a real-time public pressure campaign being waged by the Trump administration against gasoline retailers, utilizing AI-generated imagery and a fictional corporate identity to push real companies into lowering pump prices.

>The specific reasons behind this post include:

>

>Crude oil prices recently plummeted to around $68 a barrel, but gasoline stations have been slow to drop their pump prices accordingly. Because the public has expressed heavy disapproval over high gas prices stemming from the administration's military conflict with Iran, Trump has intensified a public relations push. Rather than naming a specific corporate entity, the administration created a fictionalized "smart Retailer" prototype to publicly challenge real gas station chains in the Northeast to follow suit and slash their prices right before the Independence Day holiday.

>2. Fabricated Branding & AI Imagery

>The images featured in the Truth Social post are AI-generated. A close look reveals classic visual hallmarks of artificial generation:

>The text on the station canopy and logo reads "Freedom Fuel Network," which is a non-existent brand.

>The background text on the pump posters dissolves into garbled, unreadable digital artifacts rather than real English words.

>The generic imagery of a pristine gas station under dramatic lighting was generated to serve as a symbolic visual representation of a "patriotic" fuel brand.

>3. Highlighting a Fictional "25-Station Discount"

>By claiming that a "Freedom Fuel Network" will lower prices at 25 stations across the Greater Philadelphia Area on July 3rd, the post uses a specific, fabricated scenario to set a benchmark. The goal is to weaponize the upcoming U.S. 250th Semiquincentennial birthday to pressure actual major regional retailers in the Philadelphia market (such as Wawa, Sunoco, and Liberty) into offering steep holiday discounts to avoid appearing unpatriotic.

update 2:
there are some truck stops that are offering a gas discount on July 3rd, if you download and use their app: Flying J….and Amazon Prime/BP for Prime members. i’m not going to advertise for them, but you can find the details online. they were not doing this in coordination with the White House.

it sucks that we have a POTUS who we can't say for certain knows when something is satire 🙄

ICYMI: The Babylon Bee is the Conservative version of The Onion. its been around for a long time, long enough for POTUS team to know this is satire.

i hate that we don't know if the POTUS knows that 😕
