Upgraded from Realme 7 to GT 7T But feeling sad

I got the Realme 7 in September 2020, and I've been using it ever since. It still works absolutely fine, but the main concern was the 64GB storage. So this time, I bought the 512GB variant—but I made a mistake.

I bought the phone from a local shop for ₹36,999 on 21st June.

At that time, it was selling on Flipkart Minutes for ₹35,999, but after seeing the phone in person at the shop, I was hooked 😭. Somehow, I ended up paying and buying it.

Then, a few days later, I saw the price drop to ₹33,999 (felt a little bad).

Then it dropped even further to ₹29K (I was crying inside 💀).

The phone is great, and I did my research before buying it. I was just in too much of a hurry and ended up paying more than I should have.

I regret not searching for it once on reddit.

Which one should I get?? URGENT!!

guys I asked my local mobile shop and they have the oneplus nord 4 8/256 for 30k, i went there to get the realme gt 7t but its camera is not quite impressive, performance must be great ofc, they didn't have the nord 4 with them atm so couldn't check it. Nord 5 is highkey out of my budget.

so shall i get the nord 4 rn in 2026 or the realme gt 7t??

the only reason i did not buy the nord 4 rn is because they only had silver colour in stock and i was looking for the black one

Is the battery really that bad?

I'm going to buy a Realme GT 7 soon, but I read many posts about the battery draining and heating and I'm wondering how bad it is.

I currently have an old Realme 7 5G. The last update is UI 3.0. It always worked fine and it starts heating only when I use videogames like Genshin Impact, but it never lagged. However, it's time to get a new phone because it's starting to break after so many years (it was released in 2020). The connection is getting unstable and the start button is breaking.

According to many websites, Realme GT 7 has a top processor, so how is it possible for it to overheat and have battery draining? Is it really that bad or are people exaggerating? If I buy it I will have to keep it for at least 4 years, I can't buy a phone that is already worse than my old smartphone.

Having battery drain and heating issues with my GT 7T

So I just got my Realme GT 7T on 2 July, And after setting it up, I updated it to the latest version that was available. But after updating, it shows that I'm in an open beta version, when I didn't even opt for an open beta. And I have been having issues, like I am just getting around 4-5 hours of screen time, and given that it has a 7000mah battery, that is really bad. And The phone is also heating a lot while gaming and charging, which I can probably understand. But it also gets noticeably warm while doing normal day to day stuff. I am also having some bugs too. What do I do? is this because of the open beta?

Realme gt 7 12/512 gb

I bought the realme gt 7 almost 1 month ago and had switched from the realme narzo 50 pro after 5 years

I keep my phones for a long time so I was expecting to keep this phone for 5-6 years as well.

The phone in itself is great , the display feels good to watch content , the cameras are good enough , I like the 2x telephoto lens a lot , the performance is also great , I play asphalt 9 , genshin impact , cod and bgmi and all games ran smoothly with not much issue at 60 fps , it struggles a bit at 90 fps with high settings

The only problem I felt was the battery , the battery does not live upto its mark , it is not the greatly optimized or something but I don't get enough backup as expected form a 7000 mah battery

I charge my phone to 90 and then use it till it's 20-30 range , and in this I get about 6-7 hrs of sot , I expected a lot more tbh , but it's just enough to last you a full day without much worrying , you wouldn't need to carry a charger is what I mean

Heating issues I didn't face as much as people claimed , like yes the phone heats up but honestly that's obvious , it has a strong chip and it will heat up but it's not that hot to touch , and if u feel that you don't want it to heat up at all , just use bypass charging while connected to its charger , the phone stays as cool as it normally stays so that's also a good point

The build quality is okay , I dropped my phone once and it fell on its backside , even though I bought an expensive cover that covered everything including the camera lens , the camera lens still shattered and like the camera was not as clear then due to the broken glass , and whose repair cost me 3500 rupees in realme service center

So I would recommend buying a cover that covers the camera lens as well properly and also buy protector for it as it is very fragile

So yeah overall , it's a great phone and would definitely recommend buying except the few problems I faced

A truly unprofessional company

In my country, Realme’s official channels ran a five-day giveaway in which anyone who completed a Google Form was entered into a random draw to win a smartphone.

It has now been over two weeks, and no participants have received any email informing them of the outcome, whether they won or not. I contacted customer support, but after four days they replied that they had no knowledge of the promotion. After I provided the requested evidence, including screenshots and other supporting documents, they stopped responding altogether.

This giveaway appears to have been handled in a non-transparent manner. The lack of communication, the apparent absence of internal coordination and the complete failure to announce the results raise serious concerns about whether the promotion complied with applicable European consumer protection. As it stands, it gives the impression that the campaign may have served little purpose beyond collecting participants' email addresses

India specific: GT 7T case and screen guard recommendations.

I just ordered the Realme GT 7T, and I was thinking about getting a screen protector. For all the fellas in India specifically, could you suggest a good screen protector, preferably edge-to-edge without those black bezels, for the Realme GT 7T? Hopefully available on either Amazon or Flipkart.

If possible, could you also recommend me some good cases for it? I know there's one phone cover already inside the box. I just want to keep it as an option since I plan to use it for at least four years. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

During this sale, a week before till now, those who bought the GT7T, did anyone of you receive a pre-activated unit and if you did how did you deal with it. (Read below text for clarity)

In simple terms, who bought gt7t this week and received it, who got a pre-activated unit and what did you do???

Update: I got mine and it's not pre-activated. Yay. Just got it so idk Abt the battery drain or heating issues.
