So I’m not a reborn person at all - but I am a collector of interesting/weird vintage dolls…a couple years ago I came across a random video of some old lady showing off her “Laerdal Baby Anne”, which is technically a CPR/infant care training manikin from 1980. Apparently when these came out, doll collectors were super into them bc of how life like they seemed (at the time) and they were the closest looking thing to a real baby.

Being the creep that I am - I absolutely loved learning about this doll, and I had to have one! The few I’ve seen online are always in bad shape and a couple hundred bucks so I’ve never justified actually buying one, but I recently came up on this one in perfect condition for a really good price. I couldn’t resist!

She’s so uncanny and creepy - my dog absolutely hates her lol. My mom has recently sent me this tiny baby dress I wore as a 6 week old nearly 40 years ago, and I couldn’t help myself and put it on “Junior” lmao.

Now when I have guests I have to preface that I’m not some weirdo reborn person and that this is just an extremely interesting weird old doll I have for fun (l lost my baby at 20 weeks earlier this year, so I’m sure it would be easy to assume this is a cope - it’s not. I’ve wanted this stupid thing for a long time).

I think she’s so ugly/cringe, that she’s almost cute haha.

She’s the biggest reborn doll I’ve owned. 28 inches and ten pounds 🙂 Emmy was sculpted by Ping Lau and painted and rooted with human hair by Sophia Jolie artdolls; I got her in a trade and Sophia will be getting my newborn Kami Rose by Laura Lee Eagles. This girl about killed my arms, she’s so big! Gotta get her a stroller soon😂

his name is Alexander, but he was previously known as Charlie, the demon closet baby I recently got him out of the closet and I honestly love him a lot so this is gonna be a new hobby of mine is getting reborns uh obviously when I have money, but this was a gift from my mom and he's a good start I suppose but recently I transitioned (FTM) and I didn't realize how much I looked like him, especially with my haircut like this luckily I have highlights so maybe he doesn't look all like me. I really honestly don't know how to feel about this please somebody give me reassurance.

Like why do you make it misshapen? I understand accidents happen but just don't sell them please they're horrifying.
