So today was my first time playing RDO and I was actually having fun with friends, doing missions and stuff. Then all of a sudden there was this invisible cougar that killed me. I thought it was just some weird bug and ignored it.

A couple minutes later there was some invisible wall/stairs in the middle of nowhere, then suddenly someone started lassoing me. After it happened twice, I got launched into the sky and started falling. My hostility level also randomly went up and my character kept screaming “GET AWAY!” or something like that.

I’m assuming it was a hacker/modder because there was this level 730 guy in the lobby.

What I don’t understand is how much of a no lifer bum you gotta be to use hacks in RDO just to ruin other people’s experience. Using mods for money or messing around by yourself is one thing, but ruining the game for random new players is just lame.

I'd assume this typo players barely go out and touch some grass and living with his parents while mf is in his 30s.

I already have a lancaster but im curious about the best early game:
-Revolvers
-Rifles
-Shotguns

A one shot trank bullet/arrow.

The absolute worst part is using the varment rifle to shoot an animal 13 times, then chase it as slowly passes out. Five animals in and your rifle is already degraded.

If you played on RDO Tonight in wild life tagging (in the last hour or so) on Xbox THANK YOU - I had to go AFK to help my Dad and it was so sudden I left my character sitting in the middle of Tall Trees after tagging a moose. When I came back there was another player and I didn’t catch their tag, entertaining my character rearing their horse and such. It made me smile which after a day like I had really felt good - so thanks, thank you for goofing off as the clock counted down, knowing there wasn’t much we could do but having fun all the same. You helped a complete stranger have just a little better night after a difficult day.

Howdy, I recently started hunting the free roam legendary animals and have been finding a lot of them using the jeanropke map. I generally just pop over at the preferred spawn time and I’ve found like a third of them no issues. For the Maza Cougar, I’ve done this probably 30 of times now and nothing. I put myself in a 800 MTU solo lobby and have my camp at Gaptooth Ridge, start a long delivery and head down to the Sea of Coronado and hit all the spawn locations from 6-9 and nothing. I haven’t killed a legendary cougar in well over a week as well.

Any recommendations or something I may be doing that’s hurting my chances. Appreciate any insights!

The male characters look like actual characters running the gauntlet from gentlemen to hobo but female characters all look like drug addicts covered in shit regardless of if they're wearing suits, frilly dresses, or hobo overalls... Why is that? Hell I made a female character to check and she gets like 4 layers of dirt applied every time I sit down for a poker game.

With the naturalist month half over, and watching countless posse members get tossed while trying to sedate animals, I thought it's time to remind everyone that slow and steady will keep your horse from getting spooked around aggressive animals. If you're planning to do a lot of hunting, it's definitely worth changing the card out.

Don't worry about remembering to switch back, I'm sure another player will remind you with a bullet while you're trying to paint them black.

Is it just me or are treasure maps just annoying at higher levels? I have 30 in my satchel and a bunch at the post office but its just work that I dont wanna do lol.. for reference im at rank 292 and have 300+ gold and roughly $90,000+.. i play mostly to grind dailies and rank up
