Hi everyone!

I've been working on my game Red Echoes: Berlin - a narrative turn-based strategy game set during the German Revolution of 1918-1919 -- for the past 5 months or so, and am really happy to share it with y'all!

Wanted to share it here because Autumn Chen's Social Democracy games definitely serve as a major inspiration, and are partially responsible for kindling my interest in the time period - I don't think Red Echoes would exist without it :)

Other inspirations are Suzerain (which I worked on in the past), and Through The Darkest Of Times. It's my first solo-developed game that will be on Steam, so wishlists help out a lot!

Demo version 0.1.2d Changelog

Hi everyone!

The demo has been out for over a week now, so time for another bugfix patch. Hope y'all are enjoying it!

Changelog

Gameplay

  • Fixed bug where triggering a tutorial with the district UI inactive broke the game.
  • Increased supplies gained on all options 'A Risky Request' to ensure player always has enough supplies for Emile's ability.

UI

  • Fixed wrong icons displaying tutorial.
  • District panel now also opens when clicking on locations.
  • Made District UIs look smoother when panning across the map.
  • Fixed wording first Goal (areas -> districts).
  • Fixed tutorial typos.
  • Improved tutorial formatting.
  • Fixed memory scrollbar not working when continue button appears.
  • Fixed skip text icon remaining when continue button appears.
  • Adjusted tooltip wording.
  • Fixed tooltip showing wrong turns remaining.

Story

  • Improved flow 'Roses & Herons'.
  • Fixed typo in 'The Harbour'.
  • Fixed typo in 'A Social Republic?'.
  • Fixed wrong character assigned to 'The Writing on the Wall'.
  • Fixed freikorps being mentioned too early.
