My first Gravel Bike

My first Gravel Bike

Finally, got my Kespor McLaren V2 2026! Dapat Foxter Lincoln pero eventually nagbago decision since tumaas din price and kakabasa ng reviews and specs. Kaya pati budget nag adjust 😅. Sobrang satisfied and looking forward to commuting with this to work. Medyo msakit lng sa 🍑 yung saddle kaya baka palitan ko din, hingi nadin po sana ako ng suggestions on this. Thank you RPHCC!

first bike + bike lane exp

New bike day!

Got myself a brompton p line.

can I ask sa mga folding bike owners here if pwedeng ipasok sa sm or robinson malls yung folding bikes?

Hi po, new lang po ako sa cycling and I was deciding if mag b-build po ako for my first roadbike ko or bibili nalang ako ng buo. Budget ko po is 20k below so if may suggestion po kayo tysm po sa pagsagot :)

If my suggestion po kayo for other types of bikes tysm din po, baka magbago din isip ko kung r-roadbike ako kase sabi nila medyo pricey ang mag maintenance ng roadbike.

Japanese Bike vs Aenxrd

Hello. Planning to buy Japanese surplus bike po sana. But my father keep on insisting na yung aenxrd na jap bike na lang daw sa online ang bilihin ko. Ano po ba mas worth it? Yung brand new aenxrd or jap surplus bikes? Please help me decide 😭

First gravel bike

Just sharing here my first ever gravel bike.

I used to bike when I was back in our province. I was part of our local riding team when college struck me with reality and I had to sell my bike in order to complete my thesis (cried over it). One thing my buyer told me is that "makaka-bili ka rin ng mas maganda when you get to work na".

Took me a decade to finally buy myself a decent bike and I was honestly shocked that there are wireless thingies now.

Looking at my bike- sobrang far cry nya sa bakal ko na MTB back then. And I am having a blast with my new gravel.

Ride safe everyone! See you on the road! (Also planning to start doing reviews for entry level parts and accessories)

Bike set-up gravel

Ewan ko ba basta sobrang na hhype ako na meron na akong bike after a decade- here's my set-up:

  • Maxxis 45c tires
  • Shimano Claris STI
  • Shimano Sora for RD and chainwheel set
  • Shimano Cues for FD
  • Shimano RS305 mechanical flat brakes
  • Rhinowalk handlebar bag
  • Rockbros rearlight

So I did some research naman and I trusted my friend na he knows someone na Shimano certified na mechanic and I trusted them with this build.

They said na they replaced the original parts since chipipay talaga and takaw disgrasya especially the brakes and madali daw masira yung ibang stock parts. Also madulas din yung tires but I think overkill yung tires since I read na 40c is okay na but they experimented on this and napaganda pa nga (but tires expensive :<).

Braking power is nice for mechanical since I have an idea in comparison with the hydraulic ones.

Ayun, will review more once na I go to places and let's see if Shimano is still the Shimano I know 10 years ago.

Ride safe ebriwannnn <3

Also plug ko na dito yung social media page ko sa FB and IG if ever mwehehe.

Need ba ipa tingin sa mechanic or observe muna?

First bike ko to 2 weeks old palang bali kanina for a moment di ako maka shift sa biggest cog tapos maingay sya so ginamit ko nalng yung 2nd biggest cog pababa then after few minutes of riding naging okay na sya kahit wala ako ginawang repair or something. I don't know if isolated lang ba or need ba ipa tingin sa mechanic tong bike ko? di na sya naulit after that, wala akong tools or idea pano mag diy repair

Any trusted bike shops in Pasig for a quality overhaul at a reasonable price?

I'm looking for recommendations for a trusted bike shop in Pasig that does quality bike overhauls without charging premium prices.

I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest option—I just want a shop that:

does a thorough and proper overhaul

doesn't overcharge

has a good reputation

is honest about which parts actually need replacement

has experienced mechanics

For reference, I ride an MTB and mostly do endurance rides. My bike doesn't need a full rebuild, but I'd like to have it checked and serviced properly before small issues become bigger problems.

If you've had a good experience with a shop in Pasig or nearby areas (Cainta, Marikina, Taytay, Mandaluyong, etc.), I'd appreciate recommendations. It would also help

if you could share:

shop name

approximate overhaul price

what was included in the service

your experience with the mechanics

Thanks!

Help, how to ship a bike?

I want to ship this bike but I am far away from the seller. Please enlighten me what cargo/shipment/deliver do I use. I know how to ship using J&T but I don't know how to ship a bike 😓

Something that can pick up from the seller. Lalamove seems fine but the shipment cost a lottt dahil malayo po

Location is (Taguig to Bataan).

Bike reco for beginners?

Hi! As the title says, I want to finally buy a bike. Since nakatira na ako ngayon sa area na malayo na sa mga common na public terminals and mataas na rin ang diesel prices. Most of the time, lalo na if mamamalengke and papunta ako sa work, my commute consists of 30-40min walk. 🥲

My height is 5’8. Mahaba rin legs ko. Hindi talaga ako marunong mag bike ever since and I want to learn it now dahil gusto ko na matutong mag motor para mabilis na akong makakapunta sa work.

Any types of bike you can recommend? Pati na rin yung accessories! Please state the shop and their prices, if possible po. Maraming salamat! 🙏🏽

Sayang bawal ipasok bike sa loob ng GenTri Plaza

Bawal isampa sa loob so dun ko nalang sa gilid and then tumawid ako tapos nag wide shot nalang 😊

Bike fitter reco

Bought a new aero bike. 200km ride after 2 weeks. 3 30km and 1 100km

My wrist and foot are in pain when riding so im planning to have a bike fit

Badly want to try the service of sir Fredrick but my second option is id match at lifecycle greenhills

I plan to do triathlon again hopefully by next year

What’s stopping me: Price of forward mortion most especially the addional but i can save up 20-25k for the bike fit. I inquire last 2024 and the fit is around 17,500 in Makati
