The situation with this school has become untenable. They strategically block off the section of 64th Road right before Queens Boulevard for their makeshift school bus stop, while simultaneously using 98th Street as a sort of drop-off zone for the parents driving their kids to school. Pretty much all of Rego Park uses one of these two streets to get onto Queens Blvd in the morning, and the frustrated/trapped drivers honk relentlessly from about 6:30 - 7:30 AM.

On top of this, the school staff is constantly yelling in the streets as they attempt to herd the children inside, which is completely unnecessary and ridiculous.

I mostly just need confirmation that I have not gone insane from the constant sleep deprivation and that other people are bothered too. Currently trying to get a spot at one of the upcoming CB6 meetings to talk about the issue, if anyone is interested in joining me.

Hi all! Queens community board 6 (representing RP and FH) is hosting its inaugural resource fair with the focus on addressing rising costs and the worrisome affordability crisis. The Aging, Health and Recovery services committee is leading this effort. The event will be outdoors at the Horace Harding Playground. I included the flier for the event.

If you know of anyone who may be struggling with high costs, the organization at the event may be able to provide resources and offer some relief. If you can, please share with your neighbors offline who may not be on Reddit or see this.
