Rem 700 cdl sf -257 wby

Hey, guys I'm curious if anyone has this rifle, mine is very difficult to eject when using scirocco ammo (i have to take a board to tap the bolt to get the spent case out). Is it a sign of over pressure? Or is there another problem I should be looking for ?

REM 700 AAC-SD Mags won’t fit

Got this recently and it has an outlier chassis system on it. It’s a .308 SA. My issue is that ACIS mags will NOT lock into the magwell. There’s a little metal that is stopping the mag from locking in. Now when I was at the gun store we tried magpul, MDT, and metal ACIS mags with no latching at all. You can pull the thing right back out. They said that it’s more than likely because the chassis system doesn’t match the receiver. Makes sense but I figured I’d ask. This is my first rem 700 and I’m a little lost and google isn’t much of a help.

Trigger and rifle identification

Picked up this Remington 700 .308 on a trade and I’m not sure if the trigger is an xmark pro or 40x. I’ve seen pictures of both that look like it. Barrel code is ef so it should be from 2011. The guy said this rifle was a special order from the custom shop. I’m also unsure if it’s a 700 police or sps. It’s got a 26” Bull barrel, he said it was a Douglas barrel but there’s no markings identifying it as one and looks to be parkerized.

Citristrip removed OEM barrel finish it seems.

No pics at the moment but I have a 700 spa tactical that I rattlecanned back in the day. Normally use acetone and paint thinner/citristrip without issue on parkerized/anodized finishes. Used it on my 700 barrel/action only to find permanent removal of (maybe blued) finish. Assuming finish is blued, how much of a problem will this be for corrosion resistance? If anyone knows

Paint strip help

I know it's not an AR but I got this Stainless Remington 700 5R in trade. Unfortunately it's been rattle canned and though I'm all for painting a blaster I'd prefer to return it to its former glory. The bolt looked exactly as the receiver does and I managed to mainly scrape it clean with my thumbnail and

Rubbing alcohol. I've been told citristrip will work for the stainless action and barrel but I plan on stripping this HS precision stock as well. Any idea if citristrip will damage the stock in any way? Ultimately will end up throwing this in a MDT or KRG chassis and either rebarrel with a Rem-Age barrel , or have it chopped to 18" and threaded. However I could repurpose or sell the HS stock. Any help would be appreciated or if there's a better sub to put this under please let me know.

Sps 308 accuracy issues

Long one lads sorry,

I have 308 sps Varmint, in an ACC elite stock. Thing will consistently group at 100. At 300 it’s so sporadic, will shoot two bullets 3” left of bull, then next one will be 6” right of it. And then shoot 3 more all to the right and then back to left side again.

I’ve tried 150s 168s and all that. All the same. Checked my rings, my scope mount, barrel is as clean as a whistle the rifling is sharp as a knife, no holes or pitting. Shooting off a bipod and a bag, I shoot my 223 at 300 and I’ll land everything bang into the bull so my fundamentals are solid.

I cannot wrap my head around it whatsoever how it is shooting so inconsistent, I would say something if it was staying to one side and just spreading out a few inches but to be doing a 2-“ group on the left side of bull and then jump 6-8 to right of bull fucks with my head. 110 euros worth of ammo shot today and the groupings left me wanting to save a bullet for myself.

Anybody experienced this?
