3k month reselling

Hey guys, just wanted to share a story about my 3k through reselling.

Literally like half a year ago I was counting only few bucks in profit and never thought that after half a year I could be making 3k. It is just crazy as it sounds. Of course luck probably had a major factor for that kind of money but I believe anything is possible.

what is the most amount of money anybody has made through reselling?

About to get charged again... Not sure if it's still worth it

Been paying for a listing monitoring tool for like 8 months now and another $100+ charge is coming up. I keep going back and forth on whether it's still worth it. Every time I see it hit, I end up checking my margins and second guessing it

For context, Im doing maybe 15-25 flips a month, not full time but past hobby stage at this point. Ive made money using the tool and it does what it's supposed to which is why I've kept it this long. The issue is more about whether it's still worth paying for at this point.

Whats really starting to bother me is the mobile experience, it's clunky as hell to point where I end up waiting till Im back on my laptop for stuff that should take 10 seconds on my phone. Normally I do way more on my phone than my laptop even when its sitting right next to me lol. Last week I was out sourcing and had to just wait till I got home for something dumb simple, kind of defeats the purpose when speed is the whole point. Now I'm thinking about switching but thats where im hesitant. Ive gotten burned before switching tools. Only thing I really care about is notification speed, don't care how nice a dashboard looks if the alerts are slower

If you sell men’s outerwear online, what would make you try a new marketplace?

I’m honestly looking for advice.

I’m building a marketplace specifically for men’s outerwear and looking for feedback from professional sellers.
I’m working on MrJacket.com, an online buy-and-sell marketplace curated for men’s outerwear. I’m boot strapping it with WordPress and woo commerce. I’m almost there hopefully launching this fall.

Right now the priority is reaching out to everyone everywhere, well, strangers in an effort to introduce myself and start seeking advice from Pro online sellers.
I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who already sell clothing professionally on eBay, Poshmark, Grailed, Depop or multiple platforms.
If you sell jackets or men’s clothing professionally, what would a new marketplace have to offer for you to seriously consider listing your inventory there?
Lower fees? Easier cross-listing? Better seller protection? More targeted buyers? Something else?
I’m trying to build this with sellers, not just for them, so I’d genuinely appreciate the criticism as much as the encouragement.
For transparency, I’m the founder of MrJacket.com. My name is Richard.
We’re planning to launch this fall.

And yes, I did ask ChatGPT to help me compose this, although I have edited and proved the final version. I must say this AI is a helpful and actually a motivational tool

Cheers
Richard

Which items should I resell?

As the title says, I want to know what items to resell on apps like Depop. I see a lot of people doing it and now I want to start. I’ve never ordered off of SugarGoo and I only have around $80 startup money. I also want to know if I should sell counterfeits or just off brand items. Please lmk everything I need to know so I can startup my first business 👍

The Best eBay Deals Aren’t Always Listed Correctly

Sometimes the listing everyone overlooks is the one worth finding. Imagine someone is selling an iPhone 15 Pro Max, but the title simply says “iPhone 15.” Search too narrowly and you might never see it. Yet open the listing and the item specifics show Pro Max, the description confirms it, and the photos leave little doubt about what’s actually being sold. Seller mistakes create little gaps like this all the time. Wrong titles, missing model numbers, vague descriptions. Most buyers search for exactly what they want, so those imperfect listings can quietly slip past them. I’ve had better luck searching a little wider and paying attention to the rest of the listing instead of relying entirely on the title. You have to sort through a bit more noise, sure, but sometimes that’s exactly where the good stuff is hiding.

How do you filter out the junk when sourcing online?

I spend hours scrolling through local listings hoping to snag decent electronics or vintage audio gear, and all I see are dropshippers, fake accounts and people listing broken stuff for retail prices. It is like wading through a swamp just to find one solid item.

I remember when you could find real gems easily, but now it feels like a full-time job just to filter out the noise. My thumbs are tired from swiping past the endless parade of garbage. How do you guys manage to find anything worth buying online anymore?
