Art (scenography) director: Yamako Ishikawa

A couple of fun facts:

• Since the very start, Takemiya and Yasuhiko were certain they wanted Ishikawa for this OVA after seeing her work in the Natsu e no Tobira movie. Nonetheless, the producers initially prevented them to contact her because they said her delivery times were too slow, but at the end, Takemiya and Yas didn't care about that since they had already made up their minds
• The OVA had 12 different background artists (Natsu only had 3)

Other projects in which Yamako Ishikawa was involved etiher as art director or as a background painter include Haguregumo, Kin no Tori, Manie-Manie/Neo Tokyo, Donguri to Yamaneko, Chirin no Suzu, Bara no Hana to Joe, Wicked City, Laputa, Bio Hunter, Memories, X, and Dr Slump

Some fun facts:

• Takemiya and Yasuhiko came to know each other thanks to Takemiya living close to where Yas worked
• Part of the reason why this OVA exists is thanks to Yasuhiko being somewhat dissatisfied with the Natsu e no Tobira movie, another adaptation of a Takemiya work. He felt the movie lacked some delicacy
• When discussing about adapting this manga with Takemiya, Yasuhiko originally only intended to storyboard the OVA, but due to some challenges that came with looking for a director, he ended up not only as both director and storyboarder, but also as the character designer
• Despite the aforementioned, due to his occupations, he couldn't animate anything nor suprvise the animation closely, so he choose Sachiko Kamimura as the animation director since he felt she was the most reliable person for this project
• Yas did intended to adapt the whole manga, but since they all were conscious that it could not succeed, they created the OVA in a way it could stand on its own

Yoshikazu Yasuhiko is also known as the original character designer and chief animation director of the revolutionary Mobile Suit Gundam, as well as the mangaka, director and/or character designer of works such as Arion, Venus Wars, Jesus, Zeta Gundam, Gundam F91, Gundam The Origin, Crusher Joe, Giant Gorg, Combattler V, Zambot 3 and the Gundam Unicorn and Dirty Pair novels

Sachiko Kamimura is mostly known for her character design work in 2004's Black Jack and City Hunter, while other projects include ZZ Gundam, Arslan Senki, Venus Wars, Astro Boy (2003) and Lupin III Part 3
