This is the 2nd Flip 2 I've purchased. Sold the first one due to hinge worries. Now, we have Gamenative and this thing is a PC emulation power house. The same game that won't load as a Switch Rom works great on this guy in Gamenative. I 3D printed a translucent lid and I'm loving it. I'd love a 3d SLT file for the bottom panel, but I'm not that good at CAD design.
Just randomly looked at my ol' flip and to my dismay I got the ol' hinge crack.
Has anyone been living with the crack? Have any ideas on how to mitigate any more damage? I'm super gentle with it but I do also toss it in a glove box or my cargo short pocket from time to time.
And yes I know it's a little dirty. I use this thing almost daily at work (construction).
I installed CH on my Retroid Pocket 4 Pro, runs fantastic (although at 60fps). It’s pretty to look at and does not lag or stutter whatsoever. However I can’t get my CRKD.gg latency dialed in, I got it kinda close but it’s still largely unplayable. Anyone have any tips or good steps to dial it in? Or is the 60fps the main factor? I find that hard to believe as console games were low FPS but playable

I've been sent a replacement screen from Retroid and this video after my hinge cracked. Does anyone know a YouTube video or anything like that to tell me how to get the new screen on?
I did what the video showed but that is literally just taking off the top plate, I have also removed the old screen from th fitting (well the plastic totally snapped off so that wasn't hard). The cabling is still attached though. I know I need to get into the back to sort this out but I don't know which parts to take out. I've got the Flip 2's back plate off but the fan doesn't seem to want to move and I just don't want to force anything.

I’m thinking of getting the ice blue one via DHL shipping my method and I live in the east coast US. So how long do you guys think I’d be waiting?
Here's my experience returning a Flip 2:
On April 26th, I emailed support and sent a photo of the broken hinge. The thing is, I bought the console second-hand and had no receipt, no warranty, or anything like that.
DHL refused to ship the console with the battery, so I asked Retroid if I could remove the battery myself. Luckily, they allowed it, and on May 7th, I finally sent the package.
The package arrived on May 14th.
They sent a new Flip 2 on June 16th.
I finally picked it up on July 3rd.
Overall:
Pros: They even agreed to replace it.
Now I have an extra battery (I vacuumed it with silica gel to prevent condensation) and put it in the fridge. If anything happens to the new battery or it wears out, I can replace it.
Cons: 2 months without a console.
Initially, I had the black version. I know the new versions in all colors are safe, but I decided to get the Blue Ice to be on the safe side. The hinge could still break in a few years, when they stop producing this model and bring them back, and I don't plan on buying a new console anytime soon. I hope my report is helpful to someone.
I know it’s very redundant since I already have the Thor but I want to get the flip 2 so I could use it as a gamecube machine and when I’m out and about. I would do the exact same with my Thor but idk I don’t like the idea of taking a dual glass display handheld out with me on the go. What do you guys think?

So ive been looking at the flip 2 and it seems great i was just curious about performance i thought il use geforce now for the heavy games but i wanted to know if im ever travelling if i can still play some at like low 30 fps for example its probably a long shot but i tried to loik for a video on kingdone come deliverance but couldnt find does that run at like minimum 720p low settings 30 fps? And would maybe installing rocknix change anything? Also saw Ac unity is playable so il prob be playing that to.
Also i own a steamdeck but i kinda want something able to go in my pocjet and i love the clamshell if it cant run the games im looking for il wait for the flip 3.
I ordered my pocket flip 2 on June 26 and still hasn’t shipped yet. Not mad, just feeling very excited and impatient. I really don’t know what I’m gonna play first. Maybe resident evil maybe cool boarders 2. Maybe a game I’ve never played before like Castlevania Symphony of the night. Also, always down for a good Pokemon game. Ahhhh it seems like the options are endless
