So like I’ve been reading the novel for a year now but I have a little issue with getting sidetracked and actually forgetting to continue reading through the chapters, I’m at chapter 243 at the moment due to this and I’m trying to read at least 5 chapters a day at the least to try catch up, I have no issues with spoilers but I also do really want to catch up to the recent chapters but since there’s still over 1000+ chapters to catch-up with I’m getting a bit worried it’s going to take a while? So I’m a bit curious about how long it took some of the novel readers here to get to some of the more recent chapters?🧐🧐

Does anyone else find the novel a little hard to read? I really do like it but I can’t flow through it like I am able to with other books because sometimes I’m questioning who’s saying what because there’s dialogue after dialogue with little indication of who is speaking

(I am on the early chapters, around 260s. went from the manhwa to novel)

Not criticizing the novel because I do rlly enjoy it and the series but just wondering if the writing shows more narration later on

So I have been reading quite a bit at this point. I’m at the part where Baek Cheon sends the abbot back and is not the sect leader. He’s not someone I hate but putting him in a place of authority over Chung myung irks me. I can understand the Hyung disciples , hell I would be fine with Yong. So what I mean to ask is, is he tolerable ?

picked up the manhwa years ago because I wanted some shits and giggles story. Now continuing on to reading the novel (though the mtl is reminding me of the chinese novels which made me doubt my english) TELL MY WHYYY The genre is now more angst/hurt-no comfort/found family/tragedy/+++all other things NOT shits and giggles. Damn good story though

I’ve been thinking about reading the novel, but I’m really enjoying the manhwa right now 😭 Am I missing out on a lot by not reading the novel? Or is it better to just enjoy the manhwa first and read the novel afterward?

Hi all, I caught up with the manhwa and then read the novel from the beginning and now at around chapter 400. Overall, I’m having a really good time 10/10.

I accidentally spoiled myself by reading some posts on this subreddit where I read that some characters get very annoying(?) and frustrating, like Yun Jong or some characters that still give CM shit, despite everything he’s done. This kind of turn me off from reading for a while. To those that that are caught up with the novel or are much further into the novel than me, how would you rate the novel overall?
