Power cutting off

Ok, having an interesting problem. I have about 1200 miles on my Revv1, so far no real issues. I went to go out for a ride the other day and noticed after turning the bike on and going down my drive way, the power was cutting out. I was thinking maybe the battery was loose or the connections had worked loose. After taking the battery off, cleaning the connections, then unplugging and replugging in the connections, the issue was still happening.
The thing I noticed was the bike would turn on and stay on perfectly fine if I had the handle bars turned towards the right, but as soon as I started to straighten them out, the power would cut out. You would think then that turning the handle bars was pulling the wires, but in fact going from the right to center is actually loosing the wires, so its giving it more slack.
I took off the cover on the frame, checked all the wires, undid the loom covering the wires going along the front of the bike and didnt notice anything out of the ordinary like a pinched wire or loose connection.
The final step I guess would be completely unhooking everything and pulling the wires off the bike, but I was hoping to see if someone else could shed some light on the issue before completely jumping in and pulling things apart.
I live in SoCal, so I guess worst case scenario I could drive it down to San Diego and have the Ride1up guys look at it. I'm not sure a normal Ebike shop would be able to diagnose electrical issues.
Thanks again in advance

3rd Flat in just over a year…

I know it’s come up a few times on this sub that the stock tires/tubes really aren’t the best. So I think I’m ready to upgrade my tires on my hard tail to have something more resilient to annoying tiny thorns.

Are there there any all terrain tires you highly recommend that fit the bike well and have made a difference in getting less frequent flats?

Additionally, has anyone found the use of tire liners like Tannus or a similar brand a real game changer in preventing flats?

Dreaded real flat tire

Hey guys tonight on my way home I got my first flat on the rear tire it’s the original my odometer glitched out and reset to zero at one point when I was adjusting the handle bars so it’s probably close to 3k miles at this point, has anyone use the green slime? Did it work ? I hope it does otherwise it’s going to a shop with the other tire I have for it already it’s bad I had to walk it home, it’s on the rim fortunately I have a Lyft account so maybe I can use that to get it to a shop idk right now imma sleep on it tomorrow is a new day and I have a couple days to figure something out

Considering selling…

With all the “cracking down” local governments are doing with e-bikes and e-motos I’ve been getting nervous about the reality of owning a Revv1.

I plan to have my crimson red for several years. But I have NO clue what the laws and enforcement will look like in the future. I’m scared that owning one of these for general commuting (which is what I bought it for) won’t be viable anymore because of the threat of tickets/impounding.

I used to ride (very respectfully) on my local bike path / greenbelt, but now avoid it. I try to ride on roads instead but my city recently passed “no e-bikes on the road” laws.

More and more every day I want to cut my losses and sell this thing to get an inconspicuous mid-drive bike. Or maybe even bite the bullet and get a full on moped/motorcycle and pay for insurance. Does anyone else worry about this too?
