Of all the renders for my "Sonic & All Stars Overdrive!!!" fangame project, while all characters are rendered in a standard size, Daiwa Scarlet is the only one that eats up the hard drive, with nothing more than 4000x4000 pixels. (Yeh, I know, is this more about Daiwa tha Rice but, I want to show my Rice render and make knowledge abt my fangame hehe. Im open to requests, tips and people who wants to work on this)

last year in September, my girlfriend at the time broke up with me. I was extremely heartbroken, and I got extremely depressed. I didn't do much, mostly just scrolled around the internet randomly and played whatever I had, which was just Geometry Dash at the time. Eventually, on October 9th, I was extremely bored, and I decided to try a new game out. I kept hearing about "Umamusume:Pretty Derby" almost everywhere I went. One of my friends also played it, so I decided to give it a shot. As I was downloading the resources, I thought to myself "I bet this game won't last a week on my phone, max." but as I was watching the animations, I saw her. Her dark purple dress and long dark hair are what caught my eye, as I tend to gravitate to those kinds of designs. I thought to myself, "heh, knowing myself, I'll like that one" and I was never more right.

I got my free pulls, use them, and I manage to get her. I start a career, and I read through her story, and I absolutely fell in love. I then got to the Spring Tenno Sho, and failed. I tried her career again, and failed. I tried again, and again. I didn't stop trying. I kept pushing myself to keep trying so she could eventually win. I finally did it, after quite a few tries and like 2 weeks of playing. But I didn't stop there, I kept playing. I would spend hours on end, playing career after career with her. I would rarely play anyone else, and if I did, it was to use the sparks to make a better build for her. In total, I have done 729 careers in the game, 283 of which are solely just with Rice Shower. that's nearly 39% of all total careers just being her. My second most played character is Symboli Rudolf with only 45 careers, and the reason she's the second most played is because she's the best legacy for Rice Shower affinity wise. Rice Shower makes up the entire top 5 highest scores I've achieved. She makes up 23/25 spots in my top 25 highest scores achieved. If I'm saving up carats and pulls, it's for Rice Shower. it's either for an upcoming outfit/kit she's getting, or a new support card I can use to get better careers with her. I haven't trained any Umas for the previous 3 CMs because I've been too busy training her.

Unfortunately, for the past couple months, I've been slowing down on how much I play Umamusume. I still log in daily, I just have been doing other things. Mainly getting my life set up, as I'm currently at Job Corps learning to become a mechanic. But everyday, I log in, and I see her. I hear her voice, and she makes me so unimaginably happy. I can get really mad at something, like I get frustrated with a completely different game, or something doesn't go the way I want it to, and I simply just see her again, and I'm suddenly relieved of all the negativity. I wish I could do more for her, I would do everything for her. I would have WAY more careers with her than I do now, but I haven't had the time to sit down and grind like I used to. I would use the auto training, but I hate it because it doesn't feel genuine. I want to be the one who actually trains her every time.

I have custom made phone backgrounds made by a friend of mine that are Rice Shower. my profile pic is the same almost everywhere, and it was specially drawn for me by my sister. I would spend so much money on getting a plush of her, but I haven't been able to yet.

I've heard a saying multiple times, although I don't know where specifically, that goes "you see yourself in your favorite character(s)." I always found it really funny, because I am a 6'2 guy, so I totally am the same as a 4'9 horse girl. But the more I thought about it, I realized it was right. In Rice Shower's career, she is constantly wanting the best for people, and the masses. she wants to be the one that you cheer for, the one that you're happy about winning, but she isn't, not at first. causing back to back major upset wins, people weren't happy. She sees everyone isn't happy, and sees herself as the problem. But she keeps trying, and keeps racing, eventually becoming the one that everyone cheers for.
I realized, I relate to it (not the racing part). the part where I relate is that I see myself as the burden, that I'm the issue, and I want everyone else to be happy and thrive. Seeing her succeed, where everyone including herself is happy, it sparked hope that maybe I can be the same way, at least eventually, if I tried as hard as she did. She's given me hope, the courage to persevere through all the hardships, to keep trying. I wouldn't be where I am now without her, genuinely.

I love Rice Shower. She means the world to me, and I'm so glad I decided to download this game all those months ago.
