Need a Responsible Adult for My Colonoscopy — Apparently Reddit Is My Emergency Contact

Okay Richmond,

I have a slightly ridiculous request.

I'm having a colonoscopy at the Richmond VA, and because I'll be sedated, they require me to have a responsible adult sign/check me in and sign me out afterward or they won't do the procedure.

Here's the easy part: you don't have to drive me anywhere or babysit me for the rest of the day. I have another appointment at the VA that afternoon, so I literally just need someone to satisfy their check-in/discharge requirement and walk me out to my car. I'm going to sit in my car and relax until it's time for my next appointment.

I will absolutely pay you for your time.

Happy to talk beforehand, verify who I am, and work out the details so nobody has to wonder whether they're about to become the subject of a Netflix documentary. 😂

If you're interested, please DM me.

Help a veteran get his colonoscopy. It's probably not the community service opportunity you woke up looking for, but here we are.

Dont really wanna make the drive out to Short Pump just to have a good selection to choose from, but i will if i need to. Thanks!

Selling Furniture

What are other alternatives to selling furniture than dealing with Facebook marketplace and garage sales? I would prefer if a business came in, gave me a price, and moved it out so I don’t have to deal with bartering and logistics.

Single parent housing advice

I’m newly separated, trying to figure out where to live with my kids in Rva or surrounding area.

As a single parent, there is just one of me to take care of the house and keep an eye on the kids. Also my buying power is now lower.

I want my kids to be in a good school district, and have some freedom to roam without constant adult supervision. They are young now (not yet in school), so for now I just need decent outdoor space. But I’m also looking ahead and want them to run around and hang w other kids as they grow up. Being surrounded by other families is important.

Which areas would you consider? Thoughts on condos or renting? I’d love to not be 100% car-dependent. My budget is $500k (maybe $550k).

Spacious bedroom, available furnished or unfurnished, with private en suite bathroom with soaker tub for rent in a beautiful 3rd floor 2 br 2 ba apartment in gated community with onsite gym, pool, and pedestrian trails in Glen Allen. Shared use of the kitchen, living room, and balcony, as well as the in unit dishwasher and full size side by side washer and dryer. Less than 10 minutes from Innsbrook, Wyndham, and the Henrico Government Center, 15 minutes to Short Pump or Virginia Center Commons, and 20 minutes from downtown Richmond or Ashland. You'll have to qualify through the leasing office which includes a small application fee. Perfect for a single male professional. Rent includes water, trash, internet, and amenities access would be $1,083. Power is the only separate bill and usually runs about $150, which I'd prefer to split as well. Graphic Design/Signage/Printing job recs?

Hi everyone! Me (23) and my gf (24) are planning on moving down to Richmond around January and we are both very excited! I know it’s early but we are starting to look into jobs so that we can secure some prior to moving.
My girlfriend currently works as a graphic designer and admin assistant for a sign place up in Massachusetts while I work as an EEG technician in Fredericksburg. The current problem is that we are worried about my girlfriend finding a position all the way down here since we don’t have a lot of connections.
So, like the title says, I came to this sub looking for any recommendations for jobs in graphic design, signage, brand development, curating, printing, or just something within that realm for her.
At her current job she designs signs and company logos. She mostly uses Adobe Photoshop, Adobe illustrator, and Flexidesign. She also runs meetings, prints in large format (Roland TrueVIS and VersaWorks), laminate prints, and sends lots of emails. She works on a small team and likes what she currently does so she wants something similar.
We understand the job market is like not great right now, but she has a bachelors degree and has also done a looooot of freelance work. While we are younger, we both also have 5 years experience in our respective fields.
Ideally we are hoping to find her a job that pays at least 20/hour and it wouldn’t be super client facing, but again, we understand it’s difficult to find the perfect place.
Anyways, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! We plan on going into the city soon and she plans on going into some places the old fashioned way as well. Thank you all so much!

iso alt eyebrow wax

I’m looking for someone who can confidently thin eyebrows out, my eyebrows are similar to the before photos and I’m looking for similar results. I’ve only really found before and afters of thick eyebrows at any place I’ve looked at so I didn’t want to go to someone that wouldn’t be comfortable doing this or didn’t want to.

Moving to Richmond became moving to Chesterfield

I’m relocating my young family to the area, but I was set on living in Short Pump pr Glen Allen for the schools. After being seriously disappointed with the apartments and the high prices, we landed much farther away in Chesterfield. It’s a 25 min drive to everything. Do you think I’ll ever make it to downtown where all the fun is?
