I wanted to hear Steve’s debate question
After Kumiko hits Sister Sage with her power stealing blast, Sage tests its effects by trying to recite some Shakespeare. The Othello soliloquy that she can only get the first couple words of goes like this:
O! now, for ever
Farewell the tranquil mind! farewell content!
Farewell the plumed troop and the big wars
That make ambition virtue! O, farewell!
Farewell the neighing steed and the shrill trump,
The spirit-stirring drum, the ear-piercing fife,
The royal banner, and all quality,
Pride, pomp, and circumstance of glorious war!
At this point in the play Othello mistakenly believes that his girl Desdemona has cheated on him, and he thinks that's made him lose all of his stature as a general.
It was cool to me that she fumbled on the word "content," when after the blast she'll have a life of contentment and Taco Bell. She'll actually get over getting hoodwinked by Godolkin, and she won't have the mental capacity to comprehend all of the bad shit that she did as Sister Sage. She might not even *remember* most of it.
I think Sister Sage did die in the finale. She took herself out of existence by being the guinea pig for Project Kumiko. She fixed Frenchie's calculations and put herself at the front of the line to de-supify herself back into being just Jessica Bradley.
And *Jessica* couldn't remember the famous last words that Sage had picked out for herself. Womp Womp.
Or maybe
The Boys: It was said that you would destroy the Superhero tropes, not join them!
What a disappointment. I really enjoyed those first couple of seasons.
Lol at it being received like a Nicolas Winding Refn film.
Did Van see this and what does he have to say about the light skinned actor co-starring in it
I'm cautiously hopeful we get it for Mandalorian and Grogu.
Loved the pod, love the three of them together. Big fan of both Mallory and Jo and I love the stuff they do together but when they bring in a third person, wether it be Mina, van, Chris, Sean or Amanda the pod is just perfect. I don’t want it every episode but would love more group stuff with them. The droids draft with van was one of my favorite episodes ever. Would be cool if once a month they do some fun episode with friends.
A few weeks ago Charles had a story on one of the pod episodes (can’t remember exactly which one) where he was telling a story about one of his “friends” who had a pet snake, and his friend would keep the snake in their bed while they slept. The snake stopped eating, the friend took the snake to the vet, and the vet said that the snake was “sizing them up and making room to eat them.”
I had never heard of this type of thing happening before, as I don’t have a lot of friends who own snakes, but it seemed like a shock to the rest of the Midnight Boys, as if they had never heard of this either.
However, on tonight’s most recent episode of Euphoria, one of the characters is telling the story about a snake that lives in a strip club. This story, beat by beat, was nearly IDENTICAL to the story Charles told on a podcast a month ago.
Is this just a huge coincidence?? Is this a common story with snake owners who happen to let their reptiles sleep in their beds with them? I’n not necessarily accusing anyone of stealing stories (the timing doesn’t really line up if that were the case), but it is wild, especially considering I had just told my girlfriend about this story mere days ago.
House of R put together their list of characters they’d like to see get a one-shot MCU Special Presentation akin to The Punisher. Surprisingly their list didn’t really do much for me but it made me think about the characters/specials I’d like to see (their rule was that the characters had to have appeared on film/TV to be considered). I’ve shared mine below… what are yours?
In no particular order…
Mando and Grogu can kick rocks, it's Gundam time! About to finish my rewatch of the first one and mosey to the theater.
This is what happens when someone becomes untouchable within and company and shouldn’t be. Idk how you could watch S1 and come to any conclusion other than Filoni needed a writers room like there was a Clone Wars and Rebels. Instead he does it all himself and this is the timeline you get.
Andy interviews him at the end of the pod
Van left you Invincible fans a little easter egg in today's episode of Higher Learning 😂
