Fellow venom mains who do you think is a better off tabk alt to have in the toolkit? I’ve played both a fair amount but want to spend some time learning and getting one to lord but I can’t decide. Would love some input

Venom needs a rework.

I've been playing Venom more lately, trying to finish getting him to lord (I'm level 16 with him currently) and the way his kit is designed currently really sucks, and it doesn't feel like I'm playing Venom. For someone whose title is literally "The Lethal Protector," he isn't very lethal, nor can he do much to protect people. They designed him to be this brawl/dive hybrid, only to give him the most precise, hard to aim primary fire in the game. It feels so dinky, like sure landing a bunch of headshots feels great and is pretty satisfying, but let's be honest, that's not happening most of the time unless you're really good with him.

Cellular corrosion can be bypassed easily since most of the roster has a movement ability, and breaking los will also free your enemy from the tentacles, and since the slowdown is so miniscule, a lot of the time people can just walk away from you/behind something and get out of them.

I love Venom as a character, but Rivals take on his kit is so horrible, attacking people with tendrils is more Carnages thing, so why is Venom doing it for his primary? Let him punch people, or if they really want to keep his primary, buff cellular corrosion, so it's harder to run away from Venom when he uses it. That way, landing primary hits is easier. They could also take some inspiration from other games, like give him the block from his playable sequence Spider-Man 2 so he can launch back some projectiles or negate damage in ways that don't give enemy duelists free ult charge. Maybe instead of his slam launching up, it slows? Just give him something new because I really wish his current kit was more in line with his character.

Why do you play your specific heroes?

Hey divas, I want to create a quiz that helps determine the perfect hero pool for each player’s enjoyment. To find the character that best suits their desired playstyle. (As someone with a very poor understanding of the Sony copyright stuff) Would NetEase be allowed to make skin(s) based on the Sony Venom movies, or is that off the table?

If the answer is yes, they are allowed, then I hope they do it with the option between with or without glow necklace. MVP could be the SWAT scene from the first movie.

Question about Venom ult vs cloak fade

I'm having trouble getting the one shot ult combo off with venom (right click, left clickx2, ult) when I'm against a good cloak because they end up fading the ult. I understand I can bait the fade but that takes a lot of setup.

Due to this, do you guys ever just dry venom ult even though its not going to one shot anyone? Or do you always go for a one shot? If you always go for the one shot what can I do against cloak's fade? Just deal with the setup?
