Using BEYOND20 to see virtual dice in ROLL20?

I've got four players in my Roll20 based campaign.

Two of them are using the Roll20 2024 Character sheets and two of them are using the Character sheets in DND BEYOND, and using BEYOND20 to pipe their rolls and info into the chat in Roll20.

I understand at one time it was possible to have BEYOND20 to pipe their rolls into virtual animated dice in Roll20.

But I have not figured out how to enable that or even if it is still possible. Anyone know?

Making all tokens movable for all players

I haven't used roll20 as a DM in years. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to let all of my players move all of the tokens around. Clicking on the cogwheel of a token doesn't seem to open the permissions menu remember using before. And right clicking the token just brings up positional controls. Help?

Old user returning

So, I last used Roll20 like 2 years ago maybe 3, and I have discovered that apparently there have been a lot of changes. What are the biggest changes, as someone running DnD as the DM, should I look for?

Is it possible to limit individual character vision without light?

I want to limit their vision to 30ft each but if I give them 30ft dim light to achieve this they can see other people's light if they are close enough.

What is the solution?

Initiative Macro

Does anyone have an initiative macro that is set up where it asks what the initiative bonus is? I've noticed that Dndbeyond and beyond20 no longer give a button for monsters that will add them in and I'm getting really tired of doing it all by hand. Basically I need it to either ask me for what the initiative bonus is, or allow me to have it look at one of the circles on the character for initiative.

Any help is appreciated Thanks!

Roll20 or Demiplane Subscription?

Hi all! I run games in Roll20, but use Demiplane for character sheets. Earlier in the year, I bought a Demiplane subscription to share the content with my players and create more character sheets, but I just saw that a Roll20 subscription gives me Demiplane Unlimited!

Does this mean that I can purchase a Roll20 Plus subscription and have access to all of the Plus features, and also have the same benefits of the Demiplane subscription that I already have, if my accounts are linked? (I was hoping it would work the other way too, but I can't seem to find a way to do so...)

Wacky Pirate Base -- New on the R20 Marketplace from Angela Maps

DYNAMIC MARKETPLACE LINK: https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/gameaddon/44252/wacky-pirate-base-dynamic
REGULAR MARKETPLACE LINK: https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/44251/wacky-pirate-base
ABOUT: Why is the rum gone? Probably because all that sweet nectar was consumed while this mad, floating folly was patched together! Anchored to surrounding pillars, it's doubtful that this wacky pirate base could ever sail - it seems miraculous that it can even float. With its multiple platforms, bar, tables, grill, slide, and preserved aquatic megafauna, it's fun, though, and what are pirates about if not fun? Available in two additional variants, with the wacky base floating at night under a blood moon, and "accidentally" on fire, this map will remind your players what piracy is all about: good times with friends!

Sorcerer Cantrip Scaling Broken? plus other bugs?

Been playing weekly DnD 2024 and have been using my sorcerer 5.5 sheet for over a year since level 1 and currently on level 9. I always make a copy before leveling up in case of an issue. After hitting level 5 my cantrip damage scaled up to 2 dice from 1 as it should. Tonight I logged into my session and all my cantrips scaled back to 1 damage dice on my sheet. I checked all my old sheets (level 5-8) and same issue. I had to manually adjust the spells to 2 dice.

Other issues we noticed were some people didnt have the damage roll option after making an attack, the zoom on the map was off, and player name text was really small.

TLDR: Cantrips scaled back to 1 damage die from 2. Is this a bug? Also other random bugs.

PF2E Character Sheet - Macro to Buff / Debuff modifiers on the character sheet itself?

Hey all,

Running an alchemist in my current PF2E game on Roll 20, and we're just using the Roll 20 Provided PF2E Character sheet. I was curious if there are macros that one can run to actually modify values on the Character Sheet itself (So like using a cognitive mutagen to modify the item values for like @{crafting_item}, @{arcana_item} etc.)

Reading into it a bit it mentioned something about needing a pro subscription, and as far as I know the game has that (I'm just a player in it, but the GM Mentioned something about picking up pro) I know I only have plus myself on my account, so would I need to upgrade to Pro personally?

Reading online it said to simply test !setattr and see if it threw an error and it didn't so I assumed I had what I needed but I may be missing something.

How do I make a combination lock puzzle? Or does one already exist?

Firstly, apologies if the flair is wrong - I don't know if I'm asking about scripts or macros or tables or something else. I have a pro account and the game is Pathfinder 1e. I’d like to use a letter and number combination lock like you’d find on a briefcase/luggage lock/bike lock, where I set the answer and my players can then input or press or (ideally) move 5 rotating dials to check if their answer is correct. The less clunky it is the better! If need be I can make graphics for the 26 letters and 10 numerals.

I want the puzzle to be more interactive than them just verbally guessing the answer and me saying yes or no. Is there a way to do this?

Randomly 9 extra D4 hit dice, can't figure out where they're from

Hello!

Edit: This is for 5e D&D. The sheet is D&D 5E (Classic) by Roll20

Been scratching my head to figure out where the d4 hit dice are coming from. I've checked all items, I can't find anything in the settings that should add the d4s, and it is a relatively recent addition, as in hasn't been there for more than 5 or 6 sessions (2 months or so, my player unfortunately can't remember exactly when they showed up). Googling the issue I have seen cases where the hit dice are replaced by d4s in the settings, but this would be effectively be a level 22 character, which it really isn't.

4 levels of sorcerer (accounting for the d6 HD)

9 levels of rogue (accounting for the d8 HD)

If anyone has any idea on how to fix this, or have any questions needed for helping me troubleshoot, I would love some help

Thanks in advance!

Problem with TokenMod and Aura/Tint Healthcolors

Hi y'all, hoping someone can help me figure out a weird issue. I've been using both scripts to make a macro that players can use to damage NPC tokens via TokenMod commands, which then triggers Aura/Tint healthcolors. It's been working awesome for years and makes combat run greasy smooth

But somebody must have updated something because now the tokenmod command (!alter --target|@{target|token_id} --bar|1 --amount|-?{Damage Taken|0}) doesn't trigger aura/tint even though it changes the health value on the token. Everything still works fine if I change the token hp manually. Is there anyone with the savvy to help?

EDIT: Alterbars, not Tokenmod.

GroupInit API problem with D&D 2024 PC Character Sheet

When I use groupinit to roll initiative for the PCs it does not take into considerations modifiers to the initiative roll. Instead it rolls a straight 1d20.

Just wanted to check if that is expected behavior or not?

I have groupinit configured to use the 2024 character sheet.

Thanks!

PC invisibility

I have a bunch of players whose characters have invisibility rings or cloaks. Right now, we're just kind of going with the honor system that when the entire party goes invisible they can't see each other in the dungeon corridors, but they actually can, and it's impossible to ignore.

What's the best way to make a player token invisible to all the other players while still allowing the original player to see and control it? Is it to go into the three dot menu and just uncheck "see"? Is the player able to toggle that themselves, or do I have to do it as the DM?

Roll20 stability issues

Hi! I'm running several game tables using a free Roll20 account, and I'm considering upgrading to a paid account. However, I feel Roll20 is not always very stable. Last tuesday I had to drop my Daggerheart game VTT and open Owlbear Rodeo instead. Is this a common occurrence to you too? Is this going to get better if I jump to a paid service?
