Me and my wife are planning to rent an apartment in Bucharest soon, and I’d really appreciate some advice from locals or people already living there.
Before renting an apartment in Romania, what are the most important things we should check or be careful about?
For example:
hidden costs or utility bills
contracts and legal documents
scams or red flags
good/bad areas to live
heating during winter
agencies vs direct owners
internet, transport, noise, neighbors, etc.
We’re mainly looking around Sectors 3 and 4, but any general advice would help a lot.
