I got into Schulich and Mac IBH, still waiting on Rotman. I'm super unsure of what I want to choose and I need help. I have some idea on what I want to be but its between entrepreneur, lawyer, or finance. Here's why I'm unsure:

1. Rotman: Uoftears, I hear so many mixed opinions about the difficulty of the program and if its actually good. The program doesn't offer co-op but I think I can make good connections there and its in DT. I've also heard mixed things on how good the name actually is. I see people on LinkedIn get really good jobs but thats also LinkedIn. Uoft has also been the dream school for a while...

2. Schulich: I have never even considered Schulich just because its York. I really don't like how its a commuter school and its York. But then I heard great things about their co-op and how Schulich could be better than Rotman and is actually an S-tier business school. I know 2 first years who have complete opposite experiences with the program which makes me doubt things.

3. Mac Integrated Business Humanities: I have heard so many good things about this program and at the same time nothing at all. They have basically guaranteed co-op in second year and all the professors and classmates are really nice. This would be a good route to becoming a lawyer because of high GPA and ability to stand out in a niche program. I'm just not sure how good the program is if I want to go into finance... There's small alum because the cohort is only 60 students.

Please help! I have a 94.5 avg so I think I'll get in this May round for rotman.

Hi guys, I’m an incoming first year. I filled out the res guarantee form way back in January, and some of my friends have already gotten their offers but I haven’t yet.

I know that the process runs from May to July, but is this a bad sign?

title- looking for some helpful advice before I start in Sept because I don’t want to let myself go completely in the summer lol (I can already feel it happening)

Let me know if i'm cooked for any unis, im trying to get into Rotman or UTM commerce.

I was just wondering. I got my offer from Rotman Commerce end of February without any admission scholarship.

Just so background information:

• I live in Alberta
• My average when I got my offer was 95%
• I Completed the Award portfolio thing
  • It said 3 activities that I have spent a significant time:
    • FIRST Robotics Build and Stats lead
    • APEGA Science Olympics leader, won bronze
    • I worked a job in the Calgary Stampede for the last 3 years.

I also did apply to UofT Scarborough Statistics program where I did get a $2,000 admission scholarship. I know it isn't much but I'll be living in another province, where I would be spending $20,000+ more than studying at home. It would have been great if I could have gotten some funding even if it was just $1,000.

Do you think this is usual or should I contact UofT?

How did you guys enjoy your first year? Did you have a good time and was the workload and content manageable? Would you recommend Rotman Commerce to other people?

I had a chronic illness which caused me to take the important classes online but I didn’t end up filling the special consideration form sadly. All online courses are through my school. For now I got into schulich,laurier bba, and degroote. Did anyone get a rotman offer with online calc?

Interview didn’t go too well but I heard they don’t care too much about that.

What are my chances and did anyone get in who had a similar situation?

guys I recently accepted my offer for rotman but the problem is that I literally failed my recent calc test and I have like a 75% in the class 🫩 I only got like 2 more unit tests which probably won’t bring my mark up too much. Is uoft like really strict abt the conditional bc I need atleast an 80% in calc but im struggling in this class and my teacher marks really harshly, our class avg is literally like 70% so plss lmk if ill be fine or if im cooked 😢

Hi, I’m a student coming in the fall and was wondering if it was common for students to have a job on the side while studying at Rotman.
Also, if yes, if any of you have tips on where and how to apply for these part time jobs, I’m all ears.

do you think its possible to do rotman w/ pre med reqs and still achieve a high gpa? like ik if i do one of the easier specializations like management its possible but how tangible is it?

Hey so I‘m an incoming Rotman freshmen and just got accepted to Chestnut Residence

It was my third choice iirc because its far from campus, has mostly eng kids and i heard that its not the campus if i want the traditional uni experience

I have until June to accept, but need some advice: should I just accept? Or should I decline and apply again on the St. George General Residence App.

Would this still mean i’m still guaranteed res for my first year if I decline? Also if anyone has had a similar experience please drop any methods yall used!! Oh and if you guys have better res recs for Rotman kids pls drop too

How do Schulich and Rotman compare in terms of math-heavy coursework? I'm trying to get a better sense of the types of courses required at each school and how challenging they are mathematically. I’m planning to go to law school afterward, so maintaining a high GPA is really important to me. Any insights would be appreciated, thanks!!

I’m deciding which electives to take for my first year in Rotman. I’m thinking to take the easiest electives that don’t require any tests and exams…

Im a grade 12 BC student who was accepted to Rotman commerce back in march, the university has not seen my calc grade yet (78). In pre calc 12 sem 1 I had a 95, in the offer it says to maintain academic standing, how likely is it that my offer gets rescinded. Do I need to go to my teacher to beg for a boost?

I have a 3.7 unweight gpa in a international ib school and i have a 1500 sat score

i take HL Economics, art, and lit
SL french, chem and math aa

i have a bunch of ecs and I am a canadian citizen.

Are my courses good enough? I feel like its going to look bad when other people are doing hl aa or ai

Can anyone provide some insight into CMAP, like how competitive it is, and what the events and stuff look like?
