Water-fountain map or water-fountains on/near Bloor, West of Yonge?

I absolutely hate carrying water or anything unnecessary for my runs. I’ve consistently been doing 20K Saturday morning runs from around Church and Bloor, heading West, past high park area and back. As it’s getting warmer, I’m hoping to find a water-fountain I can stop at.

I used to run the DVP trail North from Riverdale and there was a water-fountain at Riverdale but I believe the DVP north trail is still closed still.

Hoping for a water-fountain at or near high park, which is about 3/4 of my run, so I can stop on the way and possibly back.

Anyone know if there are fountains at high park or on or near Bloor in that area??

TIA! Happy running!

Selling Saucony Ride 18s

Probably a long shot, but does anyone want a pair of ride 18s for cheap? Size 10.5 men's. I picked them up for 90$ and just don't like them at all. Maybe they'll suit you! I've put around 50km on them so there's plenty of life left. $50?

Hammer the Hammer, anyone?

Hamilton Road2Hope marathon has an interesting combo - I signed up for the full Hammer the Hammer experience. Just wondering if anyone here is doing it.

5k and 10k on Saturday October 31

Marathon on November 1 (also option to do the half marathon)

Cost wise 5K, 10K, Marathon combined would still be less than the current rate for Waterfront marathon, its sold out but assuming you can find a bib.

Just moved here!

Like the title says, I'm a 25 year old who moved here for work from London (England) a couple months back and would say I'm an average runner

Wondering if anyone knows a good run club to meet new people, ideally around Distillery since I'm there but anywhere works!

What is your favorite sunscreen?

I often do not get up early enough to run in my uv hoodie without feeling like I'm dying every single second. And obviously I wear a cap and sunglasses but I need sunscreen on my face too. Currently I'm using a mineral sunscreen bar (Neutrogena Mineral Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen Stick) for around & above my eyes, as anything else stings way too much when they enter my eyes with sweat, and just random sport sunscreen elsewhere. but I wonder if there's better option out there that I'm not aware of.

I'm not getting sunburns, just tans, but ofc I want to take care of my skin as much as possible, plus I have tattoos on my chest that I need to protect.

Also Please don't keep saying just wear uv clothes …some days it's just too hot for that. I do long runs outside and cannot run on empty stomachs, so it's extremely difficult for me to run at 6am like some of you do.

Hello everyone,

As someone who wants to run their first half, I am wondering which race would be the most appropriate to start out with.

If anyone has any suggestions, I’d really appreciate it!

Summit 700, 50KM. Are running poles necessary?

Has anyone completed this before? Are running poles necessary to complete 50km or is it possible to do it without them?

If you did it with or without poles, I’d appreciate you sharing your experiences! :) Thanks

Anyone taking advantage of the warmer weather this long weekend?

Just went for a long run this morning and the weather was outstanding. Dreading the inevitable summer heat waves during training but a good warm up for the conditions ahead.

Sporting life 10K to Hamilton Half?

Hi! I’m a 32F and have been running on and off for about 10 years, usually no more than 6.5K at a time.

I just completed the Sporting Life 10K in 65 minutes with very little training — plus I was dealing with a sinus infection/allergies 😅

Right now I run about 1–3 times a week and strength train 2–3 times a week. I’d consider myself moderately fit overall (used to do F45 Training).

Do you think if I start properly training now (May 14, 2026), I could realistically complete the Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope half marathon by October 31st?

Main goal would just be to finish and enjoy the experience — while still having a fun/busy summer 😉

Would love any honest thoughts, training tips, or experiences from people who made the jump from 10K to a half!

SL10K - How was your experience?

Hope everyone had a great run!

The last 3K threw me off. I peaked too early and the last stretch was tough but overall they did a great job with the adjustment due to fifa. More crowd support at the end would have been nice but still was a blast. Always love SL10K.

Highlights:

-saw an elderly couple both with cardboard signs taped on them. The man's read "Guide" and the woman's read "Blind" 🥹 it was inspiring

-the homeless man cheering the runners lol.

How was your experience?
