Need help learning rust
A few weeks ago I bought rust console for the first time and I’m horrible at it. I was just wondering if anybody could give any tips or maybe even get on a dc call and help me start off

I’m pretty new to rust on console and just don’t know how to enjoy the game solo I got a friend who plays but he’s only on like once a week I’ve joined like 5 group posts and they all just changed the codes and killed me after a couple hours lmao just wanna know how I should go about making the game actually enjoyable solo
I think every time I've been there, the amount of scientists you need to kill isn't worth the pathetic loot that's inside of it
Unless I'm missing something?
I am terrible at rust but I am also a solo because no one I know plays the game. Is there any tips because most wipes I always run around get the same 2x1 base down and never even get onto a tier 2 workbench or even get guns before my base gets raided
Hello I used to play R6, dad owns a server on rust and has been wanting me to play and I finally QUIT R6 due to how frustrating the game was to me
My dad has wanted to do more Rust based videos especially since he also considers me somewhat of a competitive player as in I am usually someone who would spam sensitivities and aim train till I'm as good as possible and therefore have good aim (which I'm not saying I do because I didn't think I did in the first place)
Basically dad walked in and saw my recoil and basically said wtf you look like your cheating (him being a owner of a server who has watched cheaters to ban them) I didn't think I had good recoil because I assumed due to R6 that good recoil control would be point dot not a little bit everywhere
So now I'm genuinely wondering
Do I have good recoil
How do I actually hit my shots when I'm far away (I'll provide a clip of me not being able to kill someone)
How much potential do I have in general
*If it's possible I'll send more clips in the comments!
I only got back onto the game for about maybe 5 weeks so far, I had never actually really played it moreso just got carried around in my dad's base when he used to be on test branch back in beta, I genuinely wonder if I could ever become somewhat YouTube worthy to viewers (obviously with a mic and all but skill is a major factor to what people watch, I tried R6 and only got so far with the YouTuber think (700subs) but wonder what people think about all this)
Hey everybody, I recently got rust and I mainly play solo, I’ve racked up about 80 hrs and I’m just stuck on how to progress, I don’t really enjoy the “farming” aspect as whenever I try that, via high tier monument runs etc I just end up getting raided as soon as I have a tier 2 and I just feel like I’m playing like a coward.
Another technique that was recommended to me by a pc solo was “snowballing” but I find that difficult on console due to the low player count and the fact I run into fully geared players when I have a bow.
However, as snowballing may not be viable on console I’ve found a playstyle I really like to watch and want to imitate, it consists of being really really good at one monument (oilrats) I like to watch his streams not his videos as it shows the actual time it takes for him to get the ball rolling, however thing is that whenever I go onto smoil (where I located my base near now) there’s nobody on it and my strategy of grubbing high tier players doesn’t work out as I’m stuck with an eoka against god knows how many scientists.
I just wanna know any tips on how to progress fast via PvP and be able to get my first AK kit through it, I’d appreciate any advice from seasoned solo players as I’m trying to improve fast.
You can pick multiple :)
I’ve played rust before on my xbox and lately I wanted to start playing again. However when I search for official servers there are none? And when I try to join community servers I almost all the time get a connection issue, eventhough There is nothing wrong with my connection. Do any of you know how I can fix this?
it doesn’t give me the option to place it like he does first two pics are mine last is his he just moves slightly to the right and it does that placement but that isn’t working for me any help?
I just get on and build easily raidable 2x1 around the map and fill them with bullshit then get off. Tank tops, baseball caps, burlap gloves, whatever. I’m talking about boxes full of them. Making people who raid waste their explosives on horse shit that no one wants. I set up a couple of them earlier around launch site and when I got back on they were all raided and the boxes were still full of the fucking bull shit. Seems like a waste of life to me.
Why do i have to buy rust again on console when i bought it on ps4 when it came out it told me to insert ps4 disc which i never had and when i tried deleting redownloading it makes me buy it again
I’m tired of being a little bow fisherman cuck days into wipe, started on Friday and I want to know how to get high tier loot quick and kill folks, expand my base and have garage doors - problem is I only have a bow and nail gun; all advice is appreciated + it’s pretty hard to find people on console.
I play on a constant full pop weekly server but I’ve noticed that ever since the map sizes got to 4.5k the map seems empty. And I get it, it’s 100 pop what do I expect, but capping it at 100 while making the map huge makes everything seem so spread out. Back when the maps were 3-4K you’d actually have neighbours that you can fight against. God forbid you build in the center of a map now, you won’t have anyone for grids. You have to build next to a high tier monument on the coast to get consistent action. It starts to limit what you could do, and forcing you down a playstyle path if you want pvp or any type of action. What do you guys think? Are they saying that they’re looking into this? Upping server pop while making maps a little smaller?
