Bought these fpr $65 secondhand (s21 Ultra/256gb)

It still has 82% battery health too. With this $3 case, it's a great beater phone. :)

Welcome me to the club bois

Struck my the green line on my s21 ultra. No overheating or drops/damages. just browsing reddit and all of a sudden boom, the dreaded line appears.

The other strange thing is that the color of the line keeps shifting from light green to white througout the day.

This is the second galaxy phone after the s10 that i have faced screen issues, goodbye scamsung.

Entscheidungshilfe Decision support S21 Ultra oder or S24

If you don't understand my german Question, here it is in englishm translatet by Mistral Vibe AI:

Hi everyone, I need some help making a decision.

I have a Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G whose battery is slowly but surely giving out (it gets very hot while charging, and the performance drops quickly). I was also given an S24 5G, but it has a hole in the display (accident damage). Repairing the S24 is estimated to cost around €250. I don’t know how much a new battery for the S21 would cost or if it’s even possible to replace it. What’s your advice: should I repair the S24 and keep the S21 Ultra as a backup/second phone, or replace the S21 Ultra’s battery and dispose of the S24?

Also, how much longer will the S21 Ultra receive updates?
Thanks for your help!

phone overheating from basic normal usage and battery draining way too fast

hello i have this phone since now 2 years, got it as a refurb, and now i'm experiencing (since a few months actually) battery draining pretty fast (like when i check app usage on the battery settings, it only adds up to half of what's truly been drained, and i can't find any hidden battery guzzlers) and overheating to like 60c on the top half from basic usage like discord internet small graphically light games etc and it's getting concerning, would the overheating be caused by the out-of-shape battery? i have an appointment next week to change it out but i wonder if it'll fix the overheating bc it's mildly concerning; it's still on one ui 6 because updating to one ui 7 scares me aha (is it even worth it?); i've considered changing it but otherwise it works just fine and it's just a beautiful phone (it's phantom silver) with amazing features (however i'm not a fan of how huge it is, i wish it wasn't standard to have only telephoto lenses on huge slabs)

No Reason to Upgrade: Staying with the S21 Ultra

I’m sticking with my S21 Ultra for as long as it lasts. In about a year, I plan to have the battery replaced directly by Samsung to ensure I get an original part and maintain the water resistance. The smartphone market has hit a plateau—there are simply no meaningful, real-world upgrades in newer models that I would actually notice day-to-day. While the end of security updates isn't ideal, it's not a dealbreaker for me, especially since I only download apps and content from trusted sources.

Low light video is really bad

I noticed the video quality in night (not darkness) I mean a well lit street, or like an outdoor restaurant with decent lights, the video quality is quite bad. Compared to iphone 12 pro max and S23 base both are miles better. And when using zoom the video becomes washed out / grey. Is it a common thing? S21u exynos 128gb

Backglass

Has anyone else's backglass just unglued itself? Where do you find the best adhesive? Asking since it's still going strong after 5 years (even though the power and volume buttons have fallen out)

Looking for a solution so i can keep using this phone, but right now its giving me eye issues. Tinkered with the display settings, resolutions, but it didnt help.

S21U was/is an awesome device

I have used it daily for over five years. Sure, it's nowhere near as fast as some of the later S-phones but it's smooth and the screen is crystal-clear and bright. But the battery is beginning show its age and it's no longer receiving updates, so I'll reluctantly have to retire it in a few months when the S27U comes out. Hoping Samsung addresses the PWM issues that seem to have caused the screen issues in the S26U but, if they have I'll be a customer. Truth be told, however, if they put out a version of the S27U without a privacy display at all but with all the other planned improvements, I'd be all over that in a heartbeat. Anyway, I just wanted to give some much-deserved praise to the S21U - it's been a real flawless workhorse for 5+ years.
